Prince Walren led Adriana past the hall ways all the way towards the main castle doors. He smiled confidently through his demeanor while in fact felt more nervous than he’d ever felt. Inside he was fidgeting ‘why am I feeling this way? I am always smooth with the ladies maybe it’s because I didn’t actually like them that much?,’ he mentally asked himself ‘it was always just hit it, see you later or never!.’ He thought suppressing a blush ‘Keep it together Walren you are the prince the ladies want you!’ he chided himself. He walked side by side with Lady Adriana “Sorry for whisking you away from your father my lady” he said “But I wanted to personally thank you for saving me.” His voice was more courteous than it usually was. Adriana suspected this wasn’t how he usually acted she’d heard stories of the prince’s foul nature, the man she beside her seemed less aggressive ‘Maybe they were just rumors?’ except she knew better ‘men always acted differently towards her and the prince was most probably the worst of them.“Thank you my prince your words flatter me but I only did my duty in protecting the future of the kingdom.” She spoke softly “And my prince …”
“Please call me Walren.” He interjected, “Um Walren I had no prior engagements as did my father and regardless I would have yielded to your summons whether or not I had one.” she smiled at Prince Walren from the corner of her eye he was beaming ‘Pathetic’ she thoughtfully clicked her tongue ‘Typical royal narcissist.’ “Your modesty is as gracious as your beauty my lady” he waited but the ‘Please call me Adriana’ never came he felt a little disappointed but shrugged it off, he abruptly stopped Adriana turned slightly surprised they stood near the large double doors of the castle’s main entrance. He stared at her feeling his familiar confidence coming back “Would my lady grace me with her presence at dinner tonight just the two of us?” his lips spread in a self-assured smile. “It would be my pleasure.” Adriana spoke the look of disgust hidden by a bright smile doing a small curtsy before leaving. “Guard!” he called the guard marched from where he stood quietly near the door pretending he wasn’t listening “Get Ferdinand to my chambers now!” the guard went scurrying to the royal Kitchen.
The royal butler knocked on Adriana’s room, she sat in front of a mirror getting ready, she was finishing up some slight makeup that gave her skin a tinge more glow than usual, she left her long silky black hair hang loose on both shoulders. She wore a floor length backless sleeveless light green silk satin dress that matched the color of her eyes and complimented her complexion while showing off her perfect curves, it had been brought to her door earlier by a servant, “compliments from the prince.” The tap-tap came from the door again Adriana stared at herself on the other long mirror beside her dresser giggling at the sight of her own beauty. To be clear she didn’t like having dinner with the prince but she was bound to meet some snobby noble girls on the way and she loved to see the jealousy in their eyes, even if she didn’t one way or another the queen will be at the very least aggravated and that was worth every ounce of effort she expended. The butler a tall man with beady brown eyes: medium-sized nose, wearing a white shirt beneath a black blazer on gray trousers. He stared at Adriana a half-way smile spread on his face indicating a friendly face amused expression he no doubt was used to put on in front of nobles, it betrayed no other emotion. Adriana knew a fake expression when she saw one “Lady Adriana” He bowed formally showing off his pitch black hair “My name is Ethan the royal butler, the prince has requested your presence.” That smile betraying no emotion, “Adriana flashed a bright slightly embarrassed smile. “Sorry for my tardiness, I seem to have lost my ring could you a…” she said before disappearing back inside slamming the door onto his face. ‘I will make you c***k Ethan’ she giggled behind the door she wore the silver ring on her right hand. Ethan was a middle aged man used to noble shenanigans but getting door-slammed for a mere ring that she clearly wore had to be the worst one of them all, he frowned feeling annoyed at the lady’s behavior ‘Nobles will be nobles!’ he sighed when the door opened again he had turned his smile back on “Oh this damned brain!” she exclaimed “I actually had it on the whole time.” Adriana faked an embarrassed smile which he didn’t buy one bit. His brow quirked a bit then quickly disappeared “the prince is waiting, come this way.” Ethan mouthed biting back his annoyance, Adriana noticed it she giggled louder following him, the butler grit his teeth silently.
Ethan the butler led Adriana towards the castle’s main doors On either side it was flanked by royal guards whom mostly stood there up straight she glanced at their statue-like expressions as she walked by. Outside where a luxurious stage coach awaited, its upper part beautifully decorated in gold color, constructed with luscious dark brown oak wood, with large carriage tires pulled by four snow white horses. The Prince stood in front of the carriage door wearing a white silk shirt under a dark brown shiny blazer, his hair trimmed back styled perfectly ‘For all their faults, one thing is for sure, royals know how to travel in style.’ She thought smiling. “Your carriage awaits madam.” Ethan said in his formal court-like manner gesturing his gloved hand for the stage coach. Prince Walren smiled widely opening the door for her “You look lovely my lady.” Prince Walren spoke offering his hand which she took graciously helping her into the carriage’s comfortable interior then stepped in after her. The seats were all leather brown wide spaced according to the carriage’s interior length placed on opposite sides with a curtained window on the other side, prince Walren sat opposite to Adriana grinning “So do you like it?”
“the stagecoach? Pretty comfortable as expected from a prince and those horses are the most beautiful ones I have ever seen.” She spoke sincerely for the first time since she came to the palace. “Thank you.” he was positively smiling “but I was asking about the dress. Adriana blushed brightly “Yes its nice, thank you Walren.”
“A Beautiful dress for a beautiful woman, shall we go?” Adriana nodded, the prince gave the order. The coach began moving
