Chapter Two “Wow, it’s really coming down out there,” Dawn said as she dropped into the sheriff’s office. “Cars are spinning out of control, and it’s practically white-out conditions. Did you get all your Christmas shopping done?” Something about her was more quirky than usual today. Actually, scratch that. This was the third time Garrett had noticed her coming in, so he took a closer look as she pulled off her gloves and coat and brushed the snow from her short dark hair.
