Chapter Seven The heat from the woodstove was starting to warm the cabin. Garrett had started the fire, but where was he now but out in his truck? From what Trinity could see, it seemed he was talking to someone, and that someone was likely her dad. He was likely telling him all about her big secret, the baby her parents didn’t know about. What was it about secrets? She’d wanted to control this on her terms, but it was now blowing up in her face in ways she’d never expected. Maybe that was why she was standing at the window, the baby cooing in her arms, as she stared out that single pane at Garrett. For the life of her, she didn’t have a clue what he was saying.
