The news about the Alpha's accident had been a great surprise. After confirming his survival at the pack’s hospital, I placed my hands on Orion's shoulder, “you and Eve should stand guard and watch the Alpha till I return, don't allow anyone into his ward.”
My gaze drifted to Elias, who kept holding his father's hands, “make sure you protect him too.” the culprit wasn't a fool, if he wanted to kill the Alpha, he could have. It was only a warning—a warning to me.
Eve walked into the ward with a glass of water and a basket of fruits, “since you've made your decision, we'll do our best to protect the Alpha.” She commented, placing the fruit next to the Alpha without staring at me.
“I'm not asking you to do your best, I'm asking you to guard him with your life. I'll be back soon.”
