Briella No one noticed the man and his hodgepodge companions slip through the door at the end of the room, but I did. It was like he called my name. I knew he didn't because he had no way of knowing it. He was a complete stranger to me. But that's what it had felt like. My head snapped up. My eyes clashed with his for what felt like an eternity before he moved, sliding into a row of empty seats at the back. The hope that I had felt when he arrived vanished.
