Briella Someone had left a backpack full of my clothes outside the door, which I discovered when I woke up bleary eyed the next morning. Gathering it up in my trembling fingers, I caught a glimpse of something huge and black in the bushes opposite my room. Something vaguely dog shaped but much too large. Straightening, I kept my eyes on the creature as it pushed its snout out of the underbrush. Not a dog. A damn wolf. A giant black wolf roughly the size of a pony stared back at me. Swallowing back the scream that was building in my chest, I didn't take my eyes from it.
