Future Plans

Alexis, David, and Tarrant walked into the room we decided to gather in. "Villy, you already know what we talked about. Do you want to stay while we tell them or do you want to leave?" Hadrian asked.     "I will stay." She replied.      "So, what are you needing to talk to us about? I know it involves after the war." Tarrant said. Cooper nodded his head to me, wanting me to begin. "Evie?"     "Like you said, it is for what happens after the war. Hadrian, Cooper, and I have thought long and hard on it. I brought up to them a couple days ago. As you all know, I am not from this world and have always hated being here, not because of the things that happened, but it's different and is chaos for me. After all this time, I still wish to go home and lead a normal life."     "Which makes this hard for all of us, because it means we will have to give up a part of us." Hadrian continued. "It's something we are willing to do. None of us will get the peace and quiet we wish to have after the war. We all know how heroes are worshipped here. Evie doesn't want that and neither do we. We don't want our kids growing up like that. We are going to go to the world where magic doesn't much exist."     "What do you guys have to give up?" David asked, worry lacing his voice.     "For me, it will be giving up the werewolf. Hadrian will be giving up being a vampire. Any magic Evie holds, will be given up." Cooper answered. "Evie found a ritual shortly before this conversation, but didn't bring it up. We only found out about the ritual yesterday. She didn't want to make us lose the parts that made us who we are, but even without that side of us, we will be happy. Evie doesn't care much for her magic, so I guess it's not much of a loss for her. We thought you guys deserved to know. Evie would have told you with or without us. We aren't telling anyone else, because it is none of their concern. You, however, are our family. You may not be of blood, but you have been there a lot these last few years."     "It will be weird not to have you around after the war. If you guys give up that side of you, it means we won't ever see you again." Alexis spoke. "You have become like a sister to me, Evie. I don't want to see you go. It would be like you dying, except you'll be alive, just not with us."     "I know, but, I just don't see myself having a future here." I said.     "Then I will come with you!" Alexis declared.     "Alexis!" David nearly shouted. "You can't mean that. To give up your magic? It's who you are!"     "Perhaps. It will be weird not to have magic. I grew up on it, but you got to admit, not having them in our lives will be hard. I want to go with them. I don't need my magic. We explored the world already! Maybe someplace new will be great. They have things that we don't."     "Alexis is right, David. None of us have felt welcomed here for a long time. We have been made into outcast. My family isn't even family anymore. What is keeping us here. We are only wanted for the war. There's no one here that wants, except each other. Do you really want to stay someplace where we no longer belong?" Tarrant asked. "Evie has treated me more as a brother than my own siblings."     "I mean, I guess your right. Someplace new will be great. I just never really thought about leaving this world and going to another." David said.     "Sometimes the road we thought that was made for us, isn't really made for us. I will going back with them myself. I am growing old and a life of peace will be wonderful. A little farm perhaps. Living out away from the gatherings." Villy said. We laughed at her dreamy expression.     "You are old, Villy." Alexis laughed as she got slapped upside the head. "What do you say, David? Another adventure beyond this world? After the war?"     "I think we can manage. Perhaps life will be better without the magic is our lives." David said.     "Are you sure? I mean, you still have time to think about it. We didn't tell you this because we are wanting you to do this. We thought we'd just tell you what we will be doing. I mean, it will be nice to have you come along because you are family. I just don't want you thinking that you have to follow me the rest of your life, ya know?" I said, worry eating me inside.     "Evie, we will gladly follow you anywhere. Not just because you are our commander, but because you are our family. I also want to keep my niece and nephews in my life. I just hate the thought of not seeing them. I think it will be nice."     "Told you, Evie. We had nothing to worry about." Hadrian declared. I rolled my eyes.     "So...do you think the others will hate us once they find out our plans for after the war?" Tarrant asked. I snorted. "Never mind, they already hate us. Nothing there to make it worse."     "Right. You know what, I have been thinking about some other things also. This war really is stupid, we all know this. We have had our biggest adventures and more are still to come. The trainees though haven't really had much of an adventure. Sure, they've had a few battles and saved some lives, but they really need to get out of that comfort zone of theirs."     "I agree. We should plan something that will make them see what this war is really going to be like." Tarrant declared. Alexis and David shared an evil grin, having all of us shifting in our seats. "I hate it when the both of you do that. It's just not safe." They laughed and began to form a plan. We gave some suggestions. That is how the rest of our evening went.
