The news arrived at dawn.

A raven — Diamond Sky Pack crest tied to its leg.

Alpha Hunter read the message once. Then again. His jaw hardened.

"Elara," he said quietly.

She already felt the shift in him.

"What happened?"

"Diamond Sky Pack lost Alpha Edward Rowan last night."

Alpha Liam straightened. "Alpha Edward Rowan? He was unbreakable."

Alpha Hunter nodded once. "Killed near their northern border. No witnesses. His son Ethan Rowan is heir now."

Elara turned slowly. "How old?"

"Twenty."

Silence.

Twenty was strong enough to shift. Strong enough to fight.

But not seasoned enough to lead a fractured pack.

"They've asked for you," Alpha Liam said, reading between the lines instantly.

Alpha Hunter's wolf stirred beneath his skin — not dominance. Duty.

"I was trained by Alpha Edward Rowan years ago. Ethan Rowan trained under me briefly when he was younger."

Elara stepped closer, fearless but thoughtful. "You want to go."

"It's my responsibility."

Alpha Liam crossed his arms slowly. "The political implications will ripple. With the Sovereign Mark revealed, your presence there won't be quiet."

Alpha Hunter met Elara's gaze. "I won't be gone long. But if Diamond Sky Pack collapses, rogue factions will rise."

And Willow would exploit that.

Elara nodded once. "Then you go."

No hesitation. No insecurity.

She strengthens him.

Alpha Hunter stepped forward, pressing his forehead briefly to hers and kissed her. The twins pulsed gently — gold steady.

Alpha Liam placed a hand on Alpha Hunter's shoulder. "Train the boy well. If he's Alpha Edward Rowan's blood, he'll have teeth."

Alpha Hunter's lips curved slightly. "He does."

And somewhere far north…

Ethan Rowan stood over his father's grave, fists clenched, wolf howling inside him — unstable, furious, raw.
