“I’m doomed,” he muttered, shaking his head as he stood up. My expression faltered. I don’t know if I’m weird, but… I actually wanted him to continue. Yeah, I was trying to act like a saint earlier, but damn it’s getting harder to pretend I don’t want him.
“Doomed?” I echoed, trying to read his face.
He stared at me for a moment, his gaze softening. “I’m scared to do anything to you. I’m quite rough. I don’t want to hurt you… or disappoint you.” He let out a quiet laugh, running a hand through his hair.
“I shouldn’t care, but I just can’t help it…”
“Are you bothered about something?” I asked softly.
He shook his head, stepped closer, and pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead. “Let’s continue some other time.”
