I turned to see Jace.
“Jace…” I murmured, and he flashed that wide, cocky grin I hadn’t seen in days.
“How are you, Zee?” he called out, his voice barely cutting through the noise of the club.
“I’m good, Jace,” I replied, smiling faintly. He was dressed in casual jeans and a plain shirt, typical Jace.
“Mind dancing with me?” he asked, stretching out his hand. I sighed but took it, and he immediately started moving with the rhythm and I joined, trying my best to move my body.
“You look good, Zee,” he leaned closer to whisper in my ear, his breath brushing against my skin. “Never seen you in something like this before.”
