Damian’s POV His phone buzzed again the moment the door closed behind him. He checked the screen, and it was Reed's message, he had sent it again. Reed: We need to talk. Privately. Damian exhaled through his mouth, sliding the phone back into his pocket. Reed never used that tone unless something was wrong. He straightened his jacket, still wearing last night’s tuxedo, and walked down the hallway without looking back. By the time he reached the parking lot, the morning air had fully come alive, cool and crisp, the faint scent of dew mixed with the smell of car oil.
