Chapter Nine.

Waking up was amazing. I feel so refreshed and safe, I turn over to look at my Mate and I'm honestly still astonished that we belong together.     From the back of my mind came a niggling thought. What if this wonderful man of mine doesn't want to help me with my quest on avenging my family? What will I do then?     I get up and start to pace my bedroom floor trying unsuccessfully to convince myself that I don't love him and I don't need his help. Oh, who am I kidding? It's completely the opposite on both accounts.     I hear a rustling noise and look up to find him watching me.     "Morning princess," he says with a smile. " What's with the face?"     "I love you." I blurt out with my face turning a few shades redder than my hair.     His smile only gets bigger. "I love you too."     "The problem that I have right now is that I'm afraid that you won't love me after I tell you what my plans are for my or rather our possible future."     He scoots to the end of the bed and sits up straight, showing me I had his full attention.     "Tell me what's bothering you princess, I will do my best to help you in any way I can."     Hearing this gives me the courage I need to tell him my whole past. Not everyone knows what happened to my family and county. I take a few deep breaths and I start to spill the beans on everything.     You see, when I first met with the Elders I told them what had happened and we had all agreed it wasn't the best or the safest idea for everyone in Amethyst Pack to know what happened. None of us knew if there were any spies waiting to pounce, and it only takes one bit of gossip for things like that to go pear shaped. It was also decided that a rumour would be spread throughout the Amethyst Pack, that the Elders have a deep dislike towards me and fully believe that I would taint the Werewolf genealogy (which is obviously ridiculous) and the only reason why I was allowed to stay in Amethyst Pack territory was because the Alpha allowed me to stay.     After telling Jacob this, I genuinely feel like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. Beth's parents Mr and Mrs Henderson were eventually allowed in on the secret and I really wanted to tell Beth but her parents thought it best that she didn't know.     "So all I know about it is that the Elves brutally murdered everyone and now it's just me, I'm all alone." I look at Jacob wondering what he was thinking. "I'll completely understand if you want nothing to do with me. I mean what I'm thinking of planning to do will obviously need more planning and I'm fully expecting you to walk out that door and never come back. Please say something before I nervously babble myself to death."     Jacob stands up from the bed and walks over to me. Oh no, this is it. He's going to reject me and leave me. But instead, he takes me by surprise and wraps his arms around me, he tucks me in under his chin and rests his head on top of mine.     "You stupid, idiotic, beautiful, amazing girl. How could I ever leave you? You're my life, don't you understand how much you mean to me? I want to mark you, make lots of love to you, have children with you and build our future together. You, my darling princess Roxy are my everything, and I love you more than words can say and don't you ever forget that." We stood there like that for a while until my bladder had impeccable timing as always and started screaming at me for the bathroom.     "Excuse me," I reluctantly let go of him and tried my best not to run the bathroom to relieve myself. After I finished, I went back into the bedroom to find him gone. My heart hit my mouth and I ran into the living room/kitchenette to find him making pancakes and coffee. "I thought you'd left me."     "I will never leave you. Didn't you smell the food cooking or the coffee?"     "I have some sort of weird nose block, I seriously can't smell food or drink unless it's right under my nose. I've always had it, the only exception is freshly baked donuts. But it's weird, I can smell everything else. Like for example, you smell like lavender, forest and man." I looked away from him realising I had said way too much, when I hear the most wonderful laugh I had ever heard.     "Here, sit down and have something to eat, something tells me we're going to need all our energy."     We both sit down to eat and neither of us mention my psycho-babble.     "So, what exactly are your plans to find out what really happened?"     "I want to go back to my home and see if there are any clues and then eventually move on to the Creeping Woods to confront them."     "Is that the only plan you have?"     "So far, yes. I'm not very good at planning stuff and I really think I'm going to need some serious help to be able to pull this off."     "Ok, let me mind link some people that I think would love to help you out with this."     "You're going to tell them?!"     "No, I'm just going to ask them for their help. It's not my story to tell princess, unfortunately you have to tell them."     "Alright, I suppose that's fair. Who are you thinking of bringing here to help?"     "You'll see, don't worry my love, everything will work itself out. Everything always does."     "Everything happens for a reason." I smile at him     "Exactly."     While Jacob started mind linking some of his pack members, I decided to not let this beautiful food go to waste. I look at my plate to find strawberries and blueberries on top of the pancakes. I suddenly realise how hungry I am and take a big bite of everything together and oh... my... Goddess, this man can cook. The pancakes are perfectly fluffed and light and the berries add extra flavour to it and before I know it, I've polished off the whole plate. Jacob is finally finished with his mind link and looks at my plate and smirks.     "Hungry were you?"     "It was delicious, thank you very much." I get up from my chair and go to stand next to Jacob, he's that tall he's sitting in his chair and he's almost the perfect height for me to give him a kiss. I lean into him and place a kiss on his lips, it was only meant to be the one kiss but it ended up being a make out session at the table.     "Eww, get a room." Beth states from the door.     We reluctantly break apart to find Beth holding hands with Matt in the doorway and behind them is Jacob's future Gamma Nathan.
