Chapter Eleven.

Jacob was true to his word and arrived to pick us up literally an hour after he said he would. He kissed me on the forehead and grabbed my bags. "Go on in the car my love, i'm right behind you." I smiled at him and headed for the front passenger seat. Matt grabbed Beth's bags and said under his breath, "Why do women have to pack so much s**t?" "Because, my s*x on a stick wolf, it takes all that s**t to make alllllll of this tasty and delicious." Beth replied waving a hand down her body with attitude and shimmying her hips. "You always look good enough to eat, now why don't you bring that fine ass of yours over here so I can eat you up?" "Down boy, we have a job to do." Beth walked past him and gently stroked his jeans where his hardness was very evident. Matt and Jacob finished putting the bags in the trunk and got in the car. As we all buckled up for the drive, Nathan piped up with, "Man, that has to be the stupidest question you have ever asked." "Oh shut up, it's not like you're much better with your mountain of bags." Matt said back lovingly. "Do you not see what I'm wearing right now? It's only natural for one to bring so many options for clothing, you never know when you might need them." I looked at him and noticed he was wearing black converse trainers, black skinny jeans that were stressed at the knee's, a white shirt with sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a pin striped vest that was open and a light pink neck scarf to add some colour. "But you still don't need to pack everything you own, that's what I'm trying to get at." "You will never understand, Mr. T-shirt/jean combo. But getting back to my original point, you still asked the most dumbest question you have ever asked. There are just some things you never say to women. You never mention how much luggage they have and you definitely never tell them that their butt is too big. Take my parents for example, when my parents are going out on a date, my mum always wears the worst dress I have ever laid my eyes on, it's so bad even curtains would puke at the sight of it. She always asks my dad what he thinks and his answer is always the same, 'you look beautiful, precious.' Now even I know, he hates that dress, but it's her favourite so he grins and bares it, for her. So keep in mind for the future that if she asks you about her outfit, even if you hate it, just tell her she's the most beautiful thing you have ever seen and also, you never ask why she has so many bags, you just ask where she wants them." Nathan had finished his lesson and we all looked at him. "I have never heard you talk so much, how do you know all this anyway? Most guys are clueless." I asked. "Well sugar, it's like this, I'm gay, fashion is my entire universe and on top of that, I'm not stupid." The rest of the drive went by, mostly in silence, each of us captivated by our own thoughts. Jacob dropped me and Beth off at our house and drove off, am I sad to admit that I miss him already?? Jacob P.O.V "I'll see you soon, princess," we kissed goodbye and I drove off. "So, what are you going to say to your old man?" Matt knows me too well, both him and Nathan have known me since we were all babies. They've both known for the entire drive that I've been secretly stressing about it. "I don't know in all honesty. I'm just going to tell him everything, starting with the fact that Roxy is my Mate, I just hope he's going to be understanding. I mean him and my mum are Mates and I know for a fact, that he would do anything for mum of she asked him to." "Well, I have everything crossed for you." Nathan said. "I really hope it goes well for you, you know how much of a hopeless romantic I am. I can't wait to find my Mate." Nathan stared off into space with a dreamy look on his face. We arrive at the pack house and go our separate ways. I want this over as quick as possible. I didn't want to take the lift to the fourth floor so I ran up the stairs to try and calm my nerves before I had to meet with my father. I reach his office door and walk in. My dad is sitting behind his desk reading a newspaper and drinking what smelled like coffee with brandy mixed in. "Hello son, how was the trip?" Well, here goes nothing... "It was good thanks. I need to talk to you and it's important." Dad put his newspaper down and gave me his full attention. "Alright, I'm listening. What can I help you with?" "Before you react to anything, I need you to hear me out. I want to postpone my Alpha ceremony," Dad raised his eyebrows and took in a breath, probably ready to explode into an explaination of how important it is that I take over. "It's not because I don't want to be Alpha, I do, it's just that... I found my Mate. It's Roxy Alderidge, I've known she was my Mate for a while and at first I really didn't want to admit it, I completely ignored her and treated her like trash on the odd occasion I did bump into her just purely because I'm an asshole." I sat down in front his desk and put my head in my hands. Dad was still silent but I could feel his anger rolling off of him in waves. "When I saw her at the camp site I was stilling being a d**k towards her, but my attitude changed when she gave me a mouth full of her own attitude and that decided me, I had to make it up to her and I had to have her. We're not Mated yet but I'm sure it won't be too long, I love her dad. I did find out something extremely interesting though." I looked up at him. "Oh?" Dad shifted in his seat, looking a bit guilty. "Yeah, I found out all about the Elders and how my Roxy came to us for help. If we had known the facts from the start, people (including myself) wouldn't have treated her like s**t. But on the other hand if people had known and we really did have a traiter in our midst, then she would be dead and I would never have found her. She wants to avenge her family and I've told her I'm going to help her, it's the least I can do, besides, even if I don't help her, she'll only go and do it on her own anyway. I don't know how long it's going to take and I don't care, I'll be happy as long as she gets the closure she needs. After everything she's been through, she deserves a little kindness. So, what do you say? Can we postpone the ceremony or not?" "No, we can't. I'm glad you found your Mate son, but the pack comes first. You need to choose, you either pick Roxy and step down as Alpha and live a happy, mediocre life with her, or you reject her and claim your birthrite." "You know, you have to be the biggest cunt I have ever met in my life. How dare you say that about her, she's my life, my world and I will NOT give her up for some poxy title. If those are the options you're giving me then I choose Roxy, we'll leave the pack and you will never hear from us again. I would rather live as a rogue with the love of my life than be here, ruling over a pathetic pack that would rather pick power over love. You disappoint me father, I thought the bond that you had with mother would've been enough to convince you to change, but I guess you never will. Don't bother trying to find us either, we're leaving tonight." I stood up and headed towards the door. I heard his chair scraping behind me, but I didn't stop. "Son, please wait." I stopped at the door with my hand on the handle. "What dad? What do you have to say to me that could possibly make this situation any better?" "I believe you. I was just testing you to see if you truly had changed, in truth, I didn't want to hand over the pack to you before because you were a childish brat who would've ruined mine and your mother's hard work in building what we have. You've changed for the better, the title of Alpha will still be here when you get back from getting Roxy what she needs." "You mean it? Why were you acting like such a d**k?" "Because I wanted to make sure you really had changed, that you were worthy of her love. There are so many people out there that Mate and marry for power and not love and it saddens me. They think love is weakness when in actual fact love IS power. I don't care how long it takes, I will gladly hold the fort for you until you return. Go and find her and tell her the good news." "Thanks dad," I gripped him in a bear hug and ran out the door. I don't know what I'm heading into but I don't care, I have my princess and that's all I need.
