“You mean he WAS lucky he HAD her!” I instantly corrected him. Because after all the heartache that man caused her, there was no way in hell that---
“Steel will win her back,” he replied, not even missing a beat, and sounded entirely too confident about it. “She’s pregnant with his baby.”
“Well, that’s just f*****g fantastic!” I snorted, like her being pregnant would change anything! In my opinion, I think it would just encourage her to stay even further away from him, before he screwed over the baby as well. “And then the next time she does something he doesn’t like, what then ha? Is he going to leave her high and dry again?”
