Meikah stared in the direction Amiel had taken. “Vampire?”
Danton nodded. “A vampire called earlier saying her husband has been missing since the night SAV arrived. No one has been willing to help her find him. She’s sleeping in the basement. The poor woman is exhausted. She’s been searching for him every night and can barely sleep during the day as she tries to think of where she hasn’t looked. I’ll see that she gets home safely before morning.”
“Befriending Tobin might be a way to get to his father,” Rafe suggested. “I can follow him and see where he goes and who he knows.”
