Chapter Twelve
Her mouth full of food, Meikah couldn’t ask Kellan what was going on. She frowned when she saw Tobin head towards the street.
Kellan took the plate from her. “Invite him over.”
Meikah finally swallowed her mouthful. “I don’t think he likes me very much after he found out I’m friends with a vampire.”
“Trust me,” Kellan said. “Invite him over and be friendly towards him, but don’t deny your friendship with Rafe.” Kellan grinned. “I’ve got a plan.”
She groaned. “Like the last one?”
“Have you heard the rumours flying around?” Kellan set her plate to the side. “They’re getting better with each telling. Now go and invite him over before he gets too far away.”
