Danielle's Point Of View.
"It would be great if I could buy some of your incredible artwork. I can not help but notice how amazing your artwork." Declan said to me. I needed assurance, but it was more than that.
"Am I hallucinating? Is this a one of those weird dreams?" I asked myself rhetorically as my voice echoed back to me.
"Did you just hear that? I just received an assurance from Mr Declan that he would buy all of the artwork. Is not it fantastic? I have always wanted this kind of moment." I turned with a joyful heart in Naomi's direction.
"You are absolutely correct. You have wanted this for years. Before you decided that he wanted to buy all the artwork, did you listen to what he said? Believe me, I listened intently, and he did not say that. I was aware of what I heard." Naomi sneered. It sounded like she was not pleased for me.
Nonetheless, I was fully aware that she might be taken aback by how well I get along with Declan. She did not anticipate it, and neither did I.
"Where do we start?" Excitedly, I asked.
I was eager to close the deal. For me, the tension was killing. And the nerves? It is scraping my face against the floor.
"Hey, sit back and relax. You may want to remain composed. Is there any reason to hurry, please?" Declan called me to order.
I was not as great as I had persuaded myself to be. Like the drums of war, my heart was beating more rapidly.
"I hope it is okay with you if we talk about this in private. Speaking in front of such a large crowd makes me uncomfortable. And this noise is not making things any better. I would prefer that nothing break the quiet and tranquilly of our conversation." He put forward the idea. It sounded like the ideal plan.
"Why not? Shall we leave now?
I see that you have parked your car nearby. That would be a great place to talk about this without worrying about getting sidetracked," I proposed. Without giving it much thought, I agreed.
The opportunity I have been waiting for was right here. Since I already know the answer, why would I want to waste time considering it?
"Where do we go from here?" I asked him again as soon as I realised he was silent. He never indicated a place where we could have a meaningful discussion.
"We are not discussing my vehicle.
However, when you mentioned that my car might be parked nearby, you were not entirely off the truth. I am happy to let you know that we are having this discussion in my penthouse." he disclosed.
"Your penthouse? Why the penthouse?" My voice trailed off. I was extremely worried when I asked him.
I cleaned my ear to make sure I could not hear because of the dirt inside. In order to keep from screaming, I had to cover my mouth with the back of my hand.
There was beginning to be more to it than just buying the artwork. When he approached me and showed interest in my artwork, I knew something was not right. I am being invited over to his now now? Of course, he is not just buying the artwork alone.
"Yes, my penthouse."
I doubt if you heard me correctly?
Is there anything wrong with that?
Why does this make me think you are a little insecure? If you are not comfortable with it, I would be happy to consider your suggestion.' That was his harsh response.
He already knew, without my having to tell him, that I did not like his idea. I was already expressing a thousand meanings with my face.
Definitely not. I still wanna do this with you," I feigned a smile to give Declan the impression that I approved of his suggestion. I secretly wished I could decline it right away, without hesitation.
"May I go talk to my friend for a moment, please? Do not worry about it; it is just girls' talk," I said, asking his for permission.
Unawaiting his approval, I pulled Naomi away to a remote location.
"What do you think of his suggestion? If you were in my position, would you agree to accompany him to his penthouse despite meeting with him for the first time?" I requested Naomi's opinion.
Already my mind won't stop racing.
To save my life, I was having trouble thinking clearly. It was a precarious situation that could make or break me.
"Refrain from worrying about anything. Feel free to accompany him. You have always desired that, have not you?" She advised me.
According to Naomi. It was a good idea. Her thought process for the suggestion was not too long. She seemed to know all along that I would ask the question.
"My bet is on you.
I am really grateful for everything. I will let you know for the situation of things,". I waved Naomi off with an embrace.
I went back to Declan and said I was sorry for being up so late. That did not bother him. Instead, he told me. "I comprehend. You don't have to explain yourself to me,"
"Greetings from the humble home. Kindly settle in. I will be back in a little while," Declan said as we entered the stadium-like living room.
His penthouse exudes elegance and grandeur in every way. I was afraid I might leave stains on the sofa from my misery, so I was unable to sit down.
"Whoa! My entire life must have been spent in a zoo." I called out. There were not enough words to describe my excitement.
I have always maintained that, prior to my arrival at Declan's penthouse, paradise did not exist. He is living well ahead of his time.
"Are you not beginning to feel at ease, as I can see?" Holding a bottle of champagne and two glasses, Declan said to me as he made his way back to the living.
"Sure, I am.
Your home appears to be very beautiful. Is this your only residence?" I ask him.
Knowing that I was already witnessing a heaven on earth, I simply could not keep my observations to myself.
"I am the only one living here.
I ain't got no wife, no family, no children.
Just me. Boring, isn't it?" He explained as we both sat on the sofa.
After opening the bottle, he filled my glass with champagne. It was the first time I had ever tried champagne. I sipped the champagne a couple more times.
That surprised me that Declan did not care. Instead, he continued to add more alcohol to my glass while I sucked it all down without spilling a single drop.
During our conversation about buying my artwork, I became aware that my vision was getting fuzzy.
Despite my best efforts to maintain my composure, I kept tripping and falling.
"What is the problem?
Your eyes are closing slowly. He leaned towards me.
"It looks like you want to go to sleep." He held me close .
I did not feel at ease with his abrupt closure. Sadly, I was unable to push him away or fight him.
I could not even move a finger. After some time, I began to see stars circling Declan's chest.
"Do you really think you do not want me to put you to sleep? What do you suppose? I might as well do that," Declan thought.
Before I could continue walking, I noticed that I was lying on his bed.
He was leaving when I saw him. It seemed to me that he wanted to sleep in his room. Suddenly, he shot the door and went back to sleep beside me.
"What are you doing?
I resisted him in a slick voice.
"Get off me, you p*****t,"
My voice was very low.
He could kill me by strangulation and get away with it. Nobody will ever come to my rescue, no matter how loudly I cry out for aid.
He touched my cleavages and caressed my n*****s as if they were a toy.
I moaned and enjoyed it.
I was craving more after getting little chills down my spine.
In addition, he kissed me. I attempted to push him away. Unfortunately, I could not handle him because he was too strong.
Trying to avoid the temptation was exhausting. In return, I kissed him and drew him closer.
It turned out that our first night together was spent having s*x with Declan.
Did I feel proud of what I accomplished? Not at all. Was it fun for me? Indeed!
I had the most amazing night ever. In the process of trying to sell my artwork, I was sucked up for as much as barbecue sauce.
