Aspen POV
As I am getting smothered with concern by my family, Holden is outside making a bunch of calls. It’s still early in the morning and the ceremony isn’t scheduled for a couple more hours. And I tried to convince them that I would be fine to do this damn thing, but none of them are taking it. Not even Holden, which is a big shocker to me.
“So, what happened with the doc?” I ask Holden as he re-enters the hospital room.
“Don’t worry about it.” He informs me as he gestures for my father and J to leave the room with him. I shake my head at this, but nothing I can do about it now. The three of them leave me with Riley and Tom.
“You scared the hell out of us.” Riley says to me. “Dad nearly had a heart attack on the way over here.”
