Chapter 2

"Did I tell you we would meet again?" W—What the hell am I doing here? I was confused when I heard a mature voice in a dark environment. I tried to move but I could not. I noticed my hands were tied. “Who are you?” I said. What am I doing here? I scanned the surroundings, but I just couldn't see anybody. I heard footsteps come closer toward me. My eyes widened when I saw a familiar man in front of me… W-What really is happening here? He pointed the gun at me. While an evil smile was on his face. “You’re mine.” And shoot me. I was catching my breath while a cold sweat was on my forehead. What the hell was that? It was a dream. I looked relieved when I realized. "Why was that person in my dream?" I was still catching my breath while I was leaning into my bed ***** “Good morning, Miss Raven,” The girl at the desk. She was Trisha. She has brown eyes and curly hair. With red, cheery lips. I just smiled at her. But, deep down inside, I was sad for her. I know she will face the same fate as me. When will she be of legal age soon. I continued to walk to the conference room. There will be a meeting for the mission this evening. We've been planning this for nearly 3 months. This was an important mission for me and for our company. This is a mission considered a top priority. "You look blank minded early in the morning, Raven." I got back to myself and looked at the person who had just spoken to me. “Does that bother you?” I said. It was Lexie. Same age as me. A more appealing body and a bigger front in me. She was wearing a fitted dress. She was also part of this mission, but among all the people in this organization, she was the one I hated the most. "Well, if that's not affecting the mission tonight.... Then it doesn't bother me." My eyebrows raised when I heard that from her. She was really pissing me off every time she talked. She entered the room and I followed her as well. When we entered the room, all the people who were part of the mission were there. I look at the person in front of us. He just looked at me with cold eyes. "Let's begin the meeting then," My father said. He began discussing the plans that will happen tonight. Just like what I said, this mission has been planned for nearly 3 months, since the day we received the mission at the top. And there is no room for mistakes. "A very rare and expensive necklace, which was worth 1 billion dollars." A photo of the necklace flashes on the screen. But, just how expensive it is, the risk of getting it is very difficult. “If you all follow the plan that we talked about, there is no reason that this mission will fail,” the old man said. Since the people inside the room experienced and accomplished a difficult mission. I felt the insecurity inside me. The meeting was dismissed, but my father called me. I sat down in the chair while he was still standing. When we are alone in the room. “Prove them wrong,” he said coldly and just walked out of the room. I froze when I heard this from him. I bit my lips. When I opened the door, I saw a guy waiting beside the door… It was Ronnie. "What are you doing?" I asked confusedly. While walking in the hallway. “I just want to congratulate you on your mission yesterday,” he said. I didn't answer for a second. Thinking about that was an accomplishment and needed a congratulation. “No need for that,” I said coldly. "Hey, don't say that. Why not let's eat and celebrate your mission? Also, for the mission tonight." Because Ronnie is so annoying and I cannot refuse him. He has been my friend since the day I began here. And ever since I was a child, he was the one I always saw and played with. He was also adopted by the company. And will be used for stealing and finishing missions. That was the purpose of the people of this company. Nothing more. We went to a restaurant and had dinner there. I just ordered a low-protein food because I may not be able to move properly tonight. I do not want to be a burden for them in the mission. "Hey, is that what you're going to eat?" he said, as if he regretted ordering a different dish. "We have a mission tonight. I do not want to gain weight,” I said. "Don't worry about the mission later. Can you just focus on our date?" He teased me. I just ignored him because that's just the way he is. I saw him frown when I didn't respond to his teasing. "You have really changed, Raven. You always laughed and reacted when I teased you in the past. But, look at you now, you are fully grown," he said. He is several years older than me. "I do not remember that, I think you're daydreaming again. Ronnie." I said. And began eating the salad on my plate. "It's true, you also said you'd marry me. When we become adults," he said as the chain was being raised. We just like teasing and talking about the past. ****** The night has come…. All units and teams for the mission were on standby. (Radio sound) I touch my ear and push the little electronic device on it. A mature voice sounded “Hello, can you all hear me?” The voice in the small piece of communication device in my ear. We were outside the Gala Event. Waiting for the exact moment to operate the mission. I was wearing a black dress. A VVIP arrives…. 5 luxury cars line up on the road and a Rolls-Royce Phantom gets the attention of some guests of the Gala event. The car was surrounded by almost 10 bodyguards. There she is…. The target was a millionaire young woman. Fully surrounded by personal bodyguards and outside was tight security. As the young woman stepped out of her expensive car, the flash of cameras lit the place. In the distance, I saw Lexia talking to a police officer outside the venue. She is wearing a seductive white dress. An open back dress. She really has a talent for seducing men. “The target is now in the venue,” the voice in my ear. The signals were waiting. “Removed the communication device for now. Put it in if you're inside.” Carl said he was the one who was behind the eclectic device. I saw Lexia in a distance, now closed herself to a random man and blended into a crowd. While the other is inside the Venue. I was scanning the surroundings looking for a familiar face. I haven't seen Ronnie since earlier. I was in the line of a regular guest at the Gala. “Ma'am, do you have an invitation card?” One of the security said. I scanned my bag looking for something that didn’t exist. I forgot my invitation card. “Hey, babe. Where have you been?” I was off guard when a man suddenly wrapped his hand into my waist.
