Diane was more than happy to loan us the money to move back. “I am so glad you two are getting out of that house you haven’t had anything but trouble since you moved in there,” She says sweetly. I was extremely happy that we were moving out of that house, but at the same time sad that I was moving back to my birth state. Andrew Hughes ghost wasn’t happy at all as we started packing and moving our things out of the house. As we pack up our things he ended unpacking them making us repack then bring them outside so he couldn’t unpack them again. That’s what we had to keep packing, then carrying the boxes outside to the trailer. I think that’s what really set the ghost off. The cabinets and doors started banging, water started spewing out of the faucets even though the water wasn’t turned on. Then the screaming started. We just figured the ghost was just throwing a temper tantrum. Jack was taking the heavy boxes out that I couldn’t carry, while I was going around throwing the small things we had forgotten to pack into a box. As I started heading out the front door it slams in my face. “Jack,” I screamed as I drop the box that I was carrying and tried to pull the door open. It wouldn’t budge. Jack on the other side of the door yells “Move back from the door Emily,” As he kicks the door open. He grabs my hand and pulls me out of the house. We didn’t bother getting the rest of our things we just got into our vehicles and headed out we weren’t about to stay another second in that house. We stayed the night in a motel room we slept so peacefully that night. I awoke refreshed the next morning ready to get back on the road. After breakfast, we got back on the road. We arrived back at our house in Oklahoma around midnight on Halloween night. I set up the air mattress in the master bedroom feeling extremely exhausted after the long trip back. We decided that we would unload everything in the morning after a good night’s sleep. It finally felt nice being in a house that felt safe. I woke up the next morning and started unloading my car while Jake unloaded the pickup and trailer. That’s when we noticed the bone that the dogs liked to chew on in Grand Mountain. “Emily did you put this bone in the trailer,” He asked, puzzled at why I would do something like that. “No why would I want to do that,” I answered confused. I can’t even believe he would think that I would knowingly bring something like that back with us from Montana. “Oh well, I guess we can just keep it to give the dogs something to chew on,” He decided. After I got the car unloaded I decided to start unpacking. While I was unpacking a box that belonged in the bathroom, I noticed a light blue hand soap dispenser in the shape of a shell with a toothbrush holder that went with it. I walk outside where Jack was unloading his tools. “Hey, babe did you pack these,” I asked showing him the shells in my hand. “No, we just had boxes sitting in the bathroom.” He began. “Do you think Andrew gave us a parting gift,” He laughed. I just smiled at him as I turn and walk back inside. I didn’t find it too funny, I remember seeing shows about haunted objects, but I figured why not they were cute why not use them. I cleaned them up and placed them on the bathroom sink. Finally, we got everything unpacked and put up. Then we decided to hit the grocery store so we could have something to eat so we didn’t have to eat out. When we got home, we noticed that some of our things had been moved around. “Do you think that Andrew Hughes’s ghost followed us here or hitchhiked or however ghost’s travel,” I exclaimed hoping that I was just overreacting? Later that night I realized that I hadn’t been. As I went to the bathroom to get ready for bed when I heard a familiar voice whisper “Emily,” I froze in front of the sink while brushing my teeth. “Jack, did you just call me,” I yelled, knowing all too well that it wasn’t his voice I just needed him to know I had heard something. “No babe I didn’t call for you,” He yelled back from the office. “Oh my god, that means the ghost had to be in the bathroom with me because the office is on the other side of the wall,” I start getting very scared so I decided to make a run for the office where I thought I would be safe. Except I was wrong. “Emily,” came the voice again. Thankfully Jack was in the room this time. “Is that the voice you heard while you were in the bathroom,”
“Yes, it is,”
“Jack it sounds like Andrew Hughes's voice I guess he did hitch a ride with us,”
“I think your right,”
“I think we need to find a psychic or someone who can tell us why he is haunting us,”
“Your right we do need to find somebody to help us,” When I awoke the next morning, I saw that Jack has been already awake working on the computer. “How long have you been up,” I asked him. “For a couple of hours, I’ve been trying to find us a paranormal team to come and investigate the house before I head to work,”
“Really, what have you come up with,”
“I found a couple of groups, but they just don’t seem very legit,”
“We will just have to keep looking,”
I had planned on spending the day researching paranormal groups to see which one to call while Jack was at work, but the ghost had other ideas. It had begun messing with our electronics to where we had to leave the house. I decided to head over to Starbucks after three caramel lattes I found a paranormal group who was close by. Before I head home, I sit in my car and give the paranormal group a call. “Central Paranormal Society my name is Cady how can I help you,” Came a sweet woman’s voice on the other end of the line. “Yes, there is a ghost in my house I need you and your group to help me get him out,”
“Okay, ma’am, I just need you to answer a few questions for me so I can schedule a visit also to give my team the information they need before they go into your home to investigate,”
“Okay, what do you need to know,”
“First, I’ll need your name along with your address,”
“My name is Emily Johnson my address is 1 Mockingbird Lane in Duncan, Oklahoma it’s the only house on the street,”
“Now please tell me what is going on in your home,”
“Well, it started when we had moved to Hanna, Wyoming,” I started. “My husband and I just had enough so we decided to move back home. Somehow the ghost followed us here also there were some strange things that ended up in our belongings when we were unpacking that had been in the Wyoming home,”
“Okay, now has anyone been hurt or attacked by this spirit,”
“No, not exactly when we were in Wyoming it taunted us, told us that we couldn’t leave, then after we moved back it’s been calling my name. I did do some research and found out that the ghost's name is Alexander Hughes, who was a miner that had died in the first mine explosion in Hanna,”
“Oh, wow okay, I’ll get this information to the team and I’ll call you back in a few hours is that okay,”
“Yes, it is, and thank you,” I knew that I had to go home, even though I didn’t want to be alone.
