I growled and clenched my fists. How in the goddamn world could she be so goddamn stupid? Did she think she was above the law? Even though Adrien and I were rivals, I still knew the boundaries I could and couldn’t cross. But apparently Chloe didn’t.
Last night, as I was getting ready to sleep, I received a call from Darien, surprising me.
“Never thought the gentle Alpha king would call me,” I teased.
He was quiet for a moment, and I waited patiently. Darien was known as the Alpha King with few words. Many Alphas didn’t know he was gentle. Due to his keeping silent most of the time, he actually looked more intimidating than Darien.
