My eyes twitched.

Was she unable to understand the word ‘no’?
“Isabella, after sitting in Raiden’s car, you still want to race?” I asked matter-of-factly.
She nodded firmly. “Yes.”
I should’ve expected this.
“Bella…” Darien tried to change her mind. “The race is dangerous. You must have seen the terrain. One mistake and you can hurt yourself.”
Raiden grimaced. Good. He should know how reckless he was when he didn’t think of her safety.
Isabella didn’t have her wolf yet. What if she couldn’t turn fast enough at one of the bends, and she plunged into the abyss? We could kick the door open and shift to minimize our injuries, but for someone who was still wolfless? There was no chance she would survive such incidents.
