Of course, I knew who he was — Ethan, someone I never thought I would meet here out of all places.
But why was he here? And just like Chase said, how did he get here? Wasn’t this supposed to be Chase’s personal forest? Shouldn’t it be guarded heavily on the other side?
Then another thought hit me, much later than it was supposed to… Did he see Lacy?
“Oh no.” Lacy was getting agitated now, pacing in my mind, and it was affecting me, making me nervous as heck as well. “Threaten him, Bella. If he saw…”
I took a deep breath. “Calm down, Lacy. He might not see you.”
