Casey started to get antsy the stronger the connection with Shane got. She didn’t even realize that she was holding her breath until she let out a sigh of relief when they exited the tree line. She glanced at Willow, who gave her the slightest nod. She then took off down the steps to rush towards Shane.
Shane wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly for a few seconds.
“Are you sure you are okay?” Shane asked into her ear.
