“Dagger, what have you figured out from the new prisoner?” Shane asked as he entered the study. He saw that Dagger was standing over the unmoving body of the rogue scout. Dagger was growling, and breathing hard. “Dagger what happened? Dagger!”
Dagger slowly turned and faced Shane. He had obviously been crying. “I am sorry, Shane. I lost control. He hit a nerve I didn’t think I had. He started talking about what he had planned to do to my mate when they attacked my pack. My pregnant mate, Shane. I lost it. But I promise, he is alive. I wouldn’t let myself kill him,” Dagger said breathing deeply, trying to calm himself down.
“Are you okay to help me question him? Or should I send for someone else?” Shane asked, concerned for his friend and fellow Alpha.
“I will be okay. I just need to
