                “Shane, I have been thinking about what you were saying at the lake, about courting me and taking me on dates. What made you ask me to marry you without actually doing all that?” Casey asked curiously as they sat on the bench swing on the porch of her parents’ house. She had gone back to stay with her parents until after the wedding. Then she would move permanently to live with Shane in the packhouse.                 “I couldn’t shake that we have our entire live ahead of us to go on dates and really get to know each other.
