“You’re awfully quiet,” Travis noted, sitting down next to me on the bed. After the day I had, witnessing my twin brother getting beaten up, having to face my mother and at the same time trying to make sense of all of this. Damian and I still had a lot of things to talk about, catching up and getting to one another. He is so eager to get to know our father and I wouldn’t blame him with he had to deal with his whole childhood. I, on the other hand, wasn’t eager at all to get to know my mother. She screwed everything up from the beginning by betraying my father’s love for another. I don’t care if she wants to make amends. I want nothing to do with her or hear her apologies.
