AURORA
I was awake—sleep slowly leaving my eyes in time as the sun was starting to rise. Brightness filling up the room slowly as I lay quietly on the couch.
My gaze darting to the bed and I spotted master as he slept quietly. His chest rising and falling indicating that he was so deep in his sleep.
He looked so peaceful and calm.
And then suddenly he shifted—turning to the other side but before he did that, his gaze darted to me and I quickly shut my eyes.
I could hear my own heart beating so fast in my chest, afraid of what he would do to me had it been he had caught me watching him while he sleeps.
Chuckling he said, “You know I can tell that you’re awake right? I can tune in and listen to your heartbeat and it sure doesn’t sound like someone that’s sleeping.”
I opened my eyes slowly, ashamed of my actions.
“We’re going down to have breakfast in twenty minutes.” He added.
Before I could answer he had disappeared into the bathroom leaving me all alone.
Sighing in relief,I slowly removed the blanket from my body, wishing that the last two minutes didn’t happen.
Master might think I am some kind of weirdo that stares at him while he sleeps and I am so lucky he only laughed about it, he didn’t get angry over it and punish me .
I sat up straight and began folding my blanket and I kept it aside placing the pillow atop it.
I debated about where to keep them and came to conclusion to just leave it on the couch since master did not say anything about where I should leave them.
I figured if he doesn’t want it on his couch he would permit me to keep it somewhere else.
Master was out of the bathroom in a robe indicating that he had just taken a shower.
We were already descending the stairs in no time. Master had dressed up casually in a black top and grey sweat pants and I was still wearing my shirt from last night.
I didn’t take a shower because I did last night and I didn’t have a fresh set of clothes to wear after I had a bath so I only brushed my teeth and washed my face.
I feel a lot better,the sleep I had was clearly more than the usual amount of sleep I get in the pet shop. Even the pain on my back had subsided.
I am pretty grateful and relieved with how things are going so far.
The dinning room was filled with sweet scents coming from the variety of food set on the dining table.
Master sat on one of the many chairs and I just stood beside him until he motioned for me to take the seat next to him and I obeyed.
Lauren walked in carrying a tray in her hand and when she dropped it on the table I can see that she brought tea.
“Good morning sire Theo.” She greeted, her head bowing a little.
But master only nodded and dismissed her with a wave of his hand.
He sipped a little out of his tea and he began fetching scrambled eggs,pancakes and bacon from the bowl to his plate and when he was done he did the same with mine.
“You finally got a pet I see.” A voice said making both master and i to look at the direction we heard the voice came from.
A man stood from the other end of the dining table. And I can guess from the glare on master’s face that he knew who the man was.
He was quite tall but not as tall as my master and the way he grinned at me gave me an uncertain chill.. he just gives off this weird vibe.
I did not like him. At all.
I removed my gaze away from him and concentrated on the food in my plate.
