I ended up sitting on my bed, back against the headboard and
Aurora's eyes were pretty much glued downwards. It was obvious that she was nervous about this.
"Are you sure you want to do this now?" I asked softly.
She nodded slowly before lifting her head.
"Yeah," she responded quietly, failing to hide her nerves.
I repeated her nod as a response, leaning forward.
I didn't want to do this. I really didn't.
But if it kept her safe…. I guess it'll be worth it.
I reached my hand around her head, moving her hair to expose her neck.
She averted her eyes from me as I did, her nervousness quickly turning into fear.
