"Jason? What are you doing here?" Victor asked, slightly confused to see Jason standing in front of him. "I wanted to play games with you, that's all..." He shrugged. Victor only smiled at him and let him in.
"Oh, Jason, nice to see you." Sally smiled at him as she walked past him and Victor to the kitchen. "Hello, Mrs.Harrington," Jason replied. "Hungry?" Victor asked as he glanced at him, he didn't even notice that his voice was way quieter, some people would even describe it as soft. "Nope." Jason smiled at him. "I ate at home..." He glanced down. Victor only nodded in response.
"Hey, did you see my-" Lucy stopped speaking as she noticed Jason casually sitting on the sofa. "Who's that?" She asked as she raised an eyebrow at him. "Oh, he's Jason, my friend," Victor replied. "Yup, Jason Watson," Jason added and Victor did notice that smile on Lucy's face. "That's cool, have fun." She said and soon after that a chuckle escaped her mouth.
Victor raised an eyebrow at her. "Didn't you need something?" He asked. Lucy shrugged in response. "I can ask you later, have fun!!!" Lucy let out and soon after that, she rushed upstairs, making the two boys confused.
"That's your new sister...?" Jason asked. "Yeah...I still haven't get used to it." He admitted. He felt a light squeeze on his shoulder. "I'm sure that you'll get used to it, she's fun," Jason said, trying to comfort him. "But...she told me that she ain't what she seems to be..." He glanced in Jason's direction. "Even- Lena told me that she is not who she seems to be and you know that she's always right about that stuff..."
Jason rolled his eyes in response. "That's a bunch of bullcrap Vic, after all, you three will figure it out." Jason let out. "You sound like I have a girlfriend or something." Victor laughed loudly and soon after that, Jason joined him as well.
". It'd be fun if you'd get a girlfriend, maybe then Jessica, you, your future lover, and I could go on a double date," Jason suggested, but Victor was quick to protest. "Not happening, I ain't falling in love, I already have two sisters. That's enough girls for me, for now." He chuckled while Jason glanced at him for a second and, for some reason that made Victor slightly nervous, so he glanced away.
"I made you some lemonade boys." Sally suddenly let out, surprising Victor and Jason. "Thanks, Mum," Victor muttered and Jason quickly followed him up. "Thank you. Mrs.Harrington." He smiled at her. "You two are so cute." Sally let out.
Here she goes again...
"Jason, wanna go out? We can play basketball or even soccer..." Victor suggested, trying his best to ignore the warmth on his face. "Sure, let's go, Vic." Jason grinned at him and just like that they rushed out of the house, Victor grabbed a basketball ball since it was closer to him.
"Sorry about' my mum, she doesn't understand the meaning of best friends that well..." Victor let out. "It's no big deal, after all, I don't mind it that much." Victor nodded in response. "Shall we play some?" Jason asked. "Yeah..."
_______
It was dark outside.
Lucy had the urge to walk outside. She needed some fresh air and listening to music did calm her down. At this point, she did get used to having a phone and spending time with her siblings, even though, she must admit that Elena was in some ways just weird. Just the way she looked at her, talked with her, even when they'd bump into each other she'd be weird to her, but maybe she was overthinking.
As she walked, she noticed that the sky was way darker than the last time she remembered. It felt odd to her, a white truck almost ran her over, but because she had good hearing even with the headphones on, she moved to the side.
"They must be in a hurry..." She commented until she noticed a black cat walking toward her. "Hello to you, little guy. Did you get lost?" She asked, as if the cat would answer her.
She chuckled. "You look cute, maybe Sally would like to adopt you? What do you think?" She glanced at the cat who sat in front of her. She placed her hands on her hips and sighed. "How can I know if you don't answer me?" She widened her eyes. "I am even talking to a cat now?" She said as she nervously chuckled. "I'm going crazy..." She glanced at one of the houses for a second. "Why are you-" She stopped speaking as soon as she noticed that the cat was gone. "What the—"
"I just needed you to shut up." She heard a male voice speak from behind, startling her. "Help me!!! Somebody wants to—" She wanted to say more but her mouth was covered with someone's hand. "I won't do anything to you as long as you keep quiet, understand?" He said and Lucy nodded in response, still fearing for her dear life.
"Good." He released her and soon after that, she glared at him. "Who the heck are you?" Lucy asked as she tried to catch her breath. "That's not important for now. That white truck was dangerous, you know?" He said as he glanced at her. "What are you on about?" She asked as she turned around and saw a guy with blonde hair, taller than her, but she couldn't see his face. "Ugh, just forget it..." He rolled his eyes at her.
"You're rude, dude." She let out, already frustrated. "That rhymed." He smiled at her, teasing her. "I hate you already, even Elena is not that much pain in the butt..." She sighed as she crossed her arms. "What do you want?" She added, annoyed.
"You have seen that black cat, right?" He asked. "Yeah...what about it?" She raised an eyebrow at him. "The people in that white truck are looking for it." He said and to Lucy, he sounded serious. "Okay...? Maybe they were looking for it or it's even their pet..." She blurted out. "Are you one of those kids who are protecting animals or something...?" The blonde shook his head. "I am that black cat." He replied.
Lucy started laughing as soon as she heard that. "You must be joking." But, the guy shook his head in denial. "Just- watch..." He muttered as some kind of gold dust that reminded Lucy of pixie dust appeared in front of her. The guy in front of her disappeared and he was indeed telling the truth. Though, this time he was a white rabbit and Lucy was confused. "Why are you a bunny now?" She questioned as she raised an eyebrow.
"That's only because I can't control it properly..." He let out, while Lucy flinched as she saw him in his human form. "What's your name?" Lucy asked. She didn't get a response, just a sigh. "I don't have a name..." He let out. "What...?" She was even more confused, she had a name and her parents left her just like that...
"You don't have parents as well...?" She asked as she glanced down. "What?" He asked, probably confused. "I had parents... They were great..." He let out a sigh. "I don't wanna talk about it with you..." He admitted and Lucy could understand that.
"Okay, bunny boy." She smiled at him. "I gotta go home now." She added as she glanced at her phone screen. "It's eleven pm already..." She let out as he glanced at her. "I didn't catch your name..." He said and soon after that, he shrugged. "You didn't tell me your name, cat boy. Why would I tell you my name then?" She said, she was partly joking, but she didn't know him nor if he was lying about everything.
"Fine..." He rolled his eyes. "My name's David..." He added as he glanced down. "Oh, okay bunny boy, my name's Lucy." She smiled at him. "You should stop with the nicknames, they're embarrassing." Lucy in response to that laughed at him. "Bye, cat boy."She said teasingly and soon after that she walked in the opposite direction. "Bye..." He said as he turned into a dog this time.
Just then she realized that she had talked to a person who some people were searching for and that he was indeed some kind of alien or something.
What the heck is going on...?
She stopped walking as she turned around and the blonde guy was already gone. Maybe it was just a nightmare or a silly dream? She didn't know.
