Previously, Reed had said that Leah’s behavior was improper and that he would not agree to her joining Thomas Co. But now, he had asked someone to send her an email regarding a job offer. On top of that, the offer was much more generous than what Leah had applied to previously.
Although the money didn’t really matter that much to Leah, the abrupt change in his attitude surprised her.
After pondering the matter carefully, Leah guessed that the reason why Reed had changed his mind was most likely because of George's illness.
"Mom, what are you looking at?"
Jackson, who had been watching Leah's every move, put down the laptop in his hands and slowly scooted closer to Leah.
