The New Place

A couple hours and one fast food drive through later they arrived in there destination. It’s in one of the exclusive walled and gated state in Wimbledon. All residents in this complex are supernaturals of some kind, mostly werewolves who has businesses in or around London. The whole complex has camera and motion detectors on the high wall that surrounds it. Just to make sure no humans sneaks in. You can not see anything from the outside with the high wall and big trees surrounding the vicinity.

They were let in by the security as soon as they’ve shown their identifications. They we’re already expecting them because the Alpha of the Golden Moon pack has contacted them beforehand. As they drove through the tree lined state they were quite surprised. This is not what they’ve expected. The area is very private and quite. The big houses and apartment buildings are slightly far apart for the residents privacy. It’s clear that only those who have money and power lives inside that state. They also have noticed that the apartments are named after whoever packs owns it. Driving further away from the main gate they saw a big black double gate, Golden Moon written on one of the brick pillars.

Mac parked the car in front of the gate then pressed the video entry buzzer on the free standing panel on the driver side. It buzzed and a woman’s voice came through.

“Oh hello. You guys finally arrived. Drive in and I will meet you upfront...” Said the woman. Few seconds later they saw the gate slowly open.

Mac drove in to the big driveway and into the parking area in front of the enormous apartment building. A smiling woman is standing next to the entrance of the building pointing at a parking space. Mac parked the car in the space the woman has pointed to.

The three of them stepped out of the vehicle as soon as it stopped and stretched their stiff muscles. They looked around and was impressed by what they saw. The building is very modern and has mostly glass frontage. It has a well maintained garden around and beautiful fountain in the middle of the garden.

The woman patiently waited for them as they take there surroundings in. A few minutes later the three of them all walked to the front of the car and was greeted by the woman.

“Hello, hello, my name is Amanda but you can call me Mandy. I’m Dexter’s mate...”she said cheerily. Her small pretty face beaming, she looked genuinely happy to see them. She looked older than them, maybe late twenties. they all looked at her and then sniffed the air.

“You’re human.” They all said in unison. Surprised expression plastered on their faces.

Mandy chuckled. “ oh why yes I am.” She said dramatically placing one hand on her chest. She was teasing them.

“ I’m guessing Alpha Matthew forgot to mention the human looking after his building before sending you here, huh?Honestly, he does this all the time....” she said with an eye roll.

They were all amazed and they did not even realise that they were gawking at her. Yes, they have heard of werewolves being mated to humans and other supernaturals but they only have seen witches being mated to the werewolves in there pack. This is new to them. And on other hand they were also very surprised that Uncle Dexter has found his mate and they did not know about it. Dexter is their packs Beta’s brother and they all had grown up very close to him. He’s always been the cool uncle, until he left that is. He left on the pretence of helping to manage the pack business that are outside of their territory. But they all know that he left because he got tired of waiting for his mate and wanted to find her himself. And he did!

“Alright kids, that’s enough!” She said snapping her finger at them. Putting an end to their endless gawking. “ You three act like you have not seen a human before.” She added with mirth.

“ Not one mated to a werewolf; we haven’t,no” Mac blurted out.

Mandy rolled her eyes again. “ Let’s just take you to your apartment, shall we?She said.

She headed to main entrance. Putting the code on the keypad next to the massive door. Mac quickly pushed the door when it buzzed, holding it wide for the ladies.

“Oh thank you. What a gentleman you are Mr Wolf.” Mandy teased. And the two girls laughed.

Going inside, the left side was a floor to ceiling glass and you can see the fully equipped gym, not too big but also not small. It was empty at that moment. Straight ahead is a small reception area which is empty at that moment and next to it is a door is a tall double doors. And to the right is looks like a waiting/lounging area with few big sofas and coffee tables. Mandy lead them to the door next to the reception. She pushed it open and held it for them this time as Mac was busy looking around. They all have not been here before and they are very curious. The room they went into has many doors. They were led to the lift, Mandy pressed the button on the lift that says PH on.

The lift door opened to another expansive space. Mandy gestured for them to follow her and they did, quietly.

“So the penthouse is split in to two.” Mandy said. “ you will be staying in this one.” She pointed to the door on the left as she headed towards it.

“ Yo, what?” Mac exclaimed in surprise. “ We’re staying in a penthouse? Did you know about this Maisie?

“Nope, all dad said was we will be staying in one of the packs property.” She answered shrugging her shoulders as continued to follow Mandy.

“Hmmm, I hope it’s a nice surprise.” Mandy said as she opened the door. “ And here we are.”

The three of them walked in and just stood and took a minute to take it all in. The whole place is such a contrast to the DarkMoon Manor. While the Manor has been modernised the decor and design was still in keeping with the old country charm. The penthouse is what you can call a contemporary chic design, in a cozy kind of way.

Maisie walked towards the balcony while Alex and Mac was talking to Mandy about how to use the remote control that they have to use, apparently for almost everything in that place. As she was about to slide the sliding door it started to slide by itself making her jump back. She heard laughing and when she looked back they’re looking at her.

“Cool huh?” Mac said with a goofy smile. He was definitely having fun with all this new tech. She just rolled her eyes and stomped out to the balcony.
