19. sss Revisited
Danny was waiting for me outside on the garden swing. He wasn’t reading for a change. He simply sat there patiently.
“You haven’t been sitting here since I left with Michael have you?” I asked as I sat next to him, resting my head on his shoulder.
“Actually I have.”
“You should have patrolled or something,” I said. “It would have helped pass the time away.”
“I don’t want to be apart from you, even when I know you’re under the protection of the archangels.”
I laughed at the thought of them trying to protect me.
“What’s so funny?” Danny asked.
“Do you really think they’d protect me if it came to that?”
“Yes, I do.”
“Well you have more faith in them than me,” I snorted. “Hael might stand by me, and maybe Michael, but no one else. They simply tolerate me.”
