13. More Fun When we emerged from the lights we found ourselves in a subway, the only light in the tunnel from a train that was coming in our direction. This was going to hurt. Amy watched the approaching train like an animal caught in the headlights of a car, but she was anything but dazzled by the train’s lights. She raised my hand and I felt the small vortex of angel fire swirling in my palm. The train driver had seen the eerie glow and slammed on the brakes, blasting his horn to try and scare us out of the train’s path.
