Chapter 7Alex pressed the doorbell button of his apartment at around 9 p.m. From inside, Alex could hear the doorbell ringing. But when no one opened the door after nearly a minute, he became worried. His heart began to pound under his chest, and sweat beads formed on his brow. As he rang the bell again, he realized that he had warned Mida that if anyone rang the bell, the door would not open. When he called her, the door would open. Alex took his phone from his pocket and dialed his apartment's phone number. Soon after, he heard the voice of Mida.
He took a deep breath and let it out again. It came as a huge relief. The door was flung open. Alex walked into the room and shut the door behind him. He came to a halt in front of the door mattress and smiled at her.
