For some reason my wolf Drake has been acting really strange, may be its because of all that has been happening over the last two days.
Beep …. Beep …. Beep…
I look at my phone and I smile when I see Josh’s name flash on the screen
“Hey Josh, what time are you gonna reach”
Josh: Xander I called to tell you that something has come up and I need to stay back. I will only reach on the Alpha Ceremony Day.
What?? But we had planned …
Josh: Sorry Xan really I have even packed all my things but unfortunately things are taking a little longer than expected.
No worries … but I wanted to wish you Happy Birthday, guess we will celebrate once you return.
Josh: Okay Sure … the treats on me. Thanks Xan please inform everyone, especially mom I don’t want her yelling at me at least not today when I am all alone.
Suddenly I felt like my heart broke hearing how sad he was. My best friend was alone on the most important day of his life.
Josh: Xander I will call you later. I need to go the college to collect my graduation certificate.
Bye Josh …
The call ended but it felt like all the happiness I was feeling was also gone. I felt sad and lonely … Why? I don’t know.
I close my eyes and let my head rest on my pillow which I love so much but sleep refused to come.
Instead I saw Josh and me when we were kids playing. It was when we were 7 years. I had already started to train as Alpha but Josh had just started warrior training so he did not know much. I remember we were playing with the ball when it rolled behind a bush. Josh ran to take it only to be attacked by a rogue. I heard Josh's scream and rushed over ripping the wolfs neck but before that he had managed to pierce Josh's back with his claws causing blood to gush out.
I woke up sweating just thinking of it. My heart was beating really fast and fear which I had never felt before was taking over my mind.
I decided to go for a run to clear my mind and calm myself down
