I have been avoiding Josh the entire time after our discussion. I was really confused, I mean Josh and I have been best friends and yes he always been very important to me, now the moon goddess has selected me as his mate which honestly I feel really happy because Josh is as strong as me and together we can make our dream come true about expanding the pack, plus we will both be Alphas.... I do wish the witch doctor can help us. We just have to wait for 2 days till then I will try to keep my distance no matter much I feel the pull of the Mate Bond.

I walk down and see all our friends and teens chilling and dancing. Everything looks perfect just as I planned it. I see Josh and seems to be frozen in his stop our eyes connect and I feel his heart rate increase as I slowly run my eyes over his strong muscular body. A mischievous smile forms on my face as I think of how I get my little mate to bubble up.

As I extend my hand to wish him in the most friendly manner possible I feel tingles shoot up causing emotions I have never felt before for anyone to rise within me. I look at him and he looks like a cute red tomato. I feel my chest puff with pride thinking I made him feel this way.

I quickly leave his hand and wave at a few other friends. Suddenly I notice someone sneak up behind me wrapping their arms around my chest. By her scent I know its Stella so I decide to move her hands off me. I suddenly feel anger going through me I know its not me so it must be Josh. I quickly turn around in Stella's arm while my eyes quickly glance at Josh. I see me staring at Stella like he wants to rip her apart and I know he is also feeling the mate bond like I am. I decided to fool around a little more knowing I may never get to see this side of Josh ever again after the witch doctor arrives.

I quickly grab Stella by her waist but not pulling her too close. She takes that as an opportunity and runs her fingers across my chest feeling my muscles. I notice Josh walking towards us but pretend to be busy with Stella.

"Uhh... Xan, could we speak privately for a moment" he said while throwing daggers at Stella. She was not aware though as her back is towards Josh. I nod at him and excuse myself from Stella.

We walk upstairs to my office which is sound proof for official reasons. I turn around when I hear Josh lock the door.

"What happened Josh?" I ask "What did you want to speak about?" I notice him looking at the floor in deep thought then he looks up and says "What the hell were you thinking?"
