Chapter 15

Xander’s POV

Josh and I walked in to dad’s old office to meet him. I told him how I found out that Josh was my mate and till things did not settle between us we wanted to take everything slow. Yesterday’s box made us realise the importance of being together and we decided to make it official today. 

My dad, mum and Josh’s parents all wishes us happiness in our future while we decided to speak to the pack. We would officially have his Alpha ceremony two days later when it’s the full moon. 

I link the pack members to be present in 10 mins and everyone was there quicker than I expected. 

I announced 

Thank you for coming here on such a short notice I know that we are all busy but I wanted you to take the time off to meet my mate. (I felt Josh tense next to me so I held his hand and started rubbing my thumb gently on him) Josh is my mate and your future Alpha along with me. Please welcome Josh into our pack. On the next full moon I will have the initiation ceremony for Josh as Alpha and my current gamma will be the future beta. 

Thank You once again for coming here .. (I heard everyone cheer and saw some even come forward and congratulate Josh)

I interlinked my fingers with Josh while we walked to shift his things from his room. It felt so good to finally be a couple. I always liked Josh, he was my best friend and now he is my soul mate, my other half.

Everything was perfect, but unfortunately life does not always go the way we plan. While we were getting ready for the Alpha ceremony, we did not notice trouble sneaking in among us.

Before Josh arrived in the pack we had received the first threat note and the second one was directed towards my mate. While I had increased security on our borders and we built secret underground tunnels for escape what we did not realise was someone was keeping an eye on us from within. 

The day of the Alpha Ceremony arrived and when I saw Josh walk down the stairs my breathe hitched, he looked stunning in his dark blue slim fit shirt, black pants which fit him perfectly. He looked breath taking. As we stepped out of the pack house all the pack members started cheering. They were very happy for Josh and me. After we completed the blood ceremony where Josh and I slit our hands pouring the blood into the sacred golden cup letting it mix with my dad Alpha Ross's blood and then drinking it. Immediately we connected with the entire pack and our bond and strength also grew.

The next part was the Mating Run. All the mated wolves stripped and transformed into their wolves. Josh and I were the only white wolves while everyone else had patches of brown and black on them. All the submissive mates howled and sprinted off into the woods rubbing their scent on trees, dry leaves to confuse their mates. While the doms waited giving them a head start before they chased their mates.
