Gino’s entrance into the library disturbed Ajax to waking up.
“Embarrassing me in front of Giovanni Saltore?” He continued in English. “Do you think as Marcus’s w***e you are above me eh?”
I looked behind Gino as he slowly shut the library door leaving only the two of us in the room with uncomfortable privacy. Ajax had stirred awake and he seemed to recognize my unease as only a loyal guard dog could do.
