“Finally.” Marcus heard my approach, looking at a clock above a rectangle wood table click to exactly seven o’clock. “Why have you so long refused to attend dinner with me?” He asked at my entrance with a glass of red wine in one hand and cigarette in the other.    The second that he saw me his eyes fell to the canary diamond necklace. He was speechless and I almost thought that I heard him take in a breath and hold it. I looked at the table moving towards it as I knew that his eyes cast over every last inch of me in the dress. He was clearly captivated by my appearance and I wanted to hide any acknowledgement of that I could.    “I have no interest in spending any time with you.
