Lia cursed herself over and over as she hurried herself throughout the airport. Why did she feel like if she didn't come to his game that this would be the judge of the outcome to her and Jonny's relationship? He may have came to visit her a few days ago but maybe he took her silence as a rejection in some way. The past few weeks, with them feeling like they had a distance come between them maybe made him feel like he was losing her. In a way he did, but it was mainly due to her being busy with school and nothing else yet here she was rushing throughout Newark, trying to find a cab hauling her overnight bag behind her. She had to thank Tiff for talking some sense to her and told her that if she didn't leave right that second, she would miss the game and maybe she might miss her chance at telling the man that she had come to know that she loved him as well. It wasn't the love that she had for his brother either. Her love for Jonny went deep and they had an intimate knowledge of each other that went back to more than a decade. She loved Jonny and would do what she could to make sure that he knew it. She'd have to worry about school after she told him that and it wasn't enough for her to just call him and tell him. He came to visit her in his busy schedule and flew just to see her for a few hours before his game. Who did that? Only a man in love would do stupid things and that made her a woman in love because in an instant she dropped everything just to be with him. The cab finally took her to the stadium and luckily the line was short as the game had already started an hour ago. She streamed the game on her phone just to keep up with the score and they were tied. Underneath Lia's sweater was his jersey. The one that he sent to her and reminded her what he smelled like. She was here to make sure that he knew that he had all of her support and love. Lia could mentally laugh at herself hysterically for being in love. How was it possible to fall in love with men from the same family? She let the one she loved go and fell in love with his brother. How cliched it was that she fell in love with her best friend's brother? She literally ran out of the vehicle and ran to the ticket booth presenting her ticket. She was given a look by the ticket master who glanced at the clock. "Yeah I know, I was running a little bit late." She tried to explain. The person handed her some merchandise that came with the ticket. Apparently Jonny had given her VIP tickets that gave her access to him. She thanked the person and jetted inside, hearing the commotion of the game from the outside. There were a lot of people, but not as busy as a basketball game would be but still a good crowd. People were milling about with their beers and she just wanted to get into the rink just so that she could see Jonny play. When she was bored with class and home alone, she would lay in bed at night and watch any video she could find with him in it and wondered why she never took an interest in his sport ever. Maybe because she never had an interest in him and always thought of him as the annoying brother when she was little. Except now, he was her boyfriend and she loved him. A guard was standing where she thought that she should enter as the VIP and they let her pass. The rink was filled with half drunk and rowdy spectators that loved the violence of Hockey. Jonny's team was behind by a few points since she last checked and she tried to find the closest seat possible, except that was still literally in the back. It didn't take long before the end concluded and his team had won, the game cutting close to a tie as their opponent weren't ready to lose. She waited for the crowd to disperse so that she could see Jonny and found him. She was ready to call him when she realized that they disappeared behind the doors. Lia didn't know exactly where to go but she followed the crowd and found where they were chatting with one another. Apparently, the guys were changing and their was a small photo booth where the spectators could meet and greet with the players. She tried to push her way through to see if she could see Jonny but all she could do was be ignored as she tried to move past. The females that were in the crowd shouted when the players all came out in their regular clothes, not taking longer than ten minutes. Lia tried to hop up so that she can see who was currently taking photos and found Jonny standing idly by. He was in plain jeans and a sweatshirt with their team logo. Probably to get people to buy their merchandise. He look so handsome, his thighs filling in his jeans and dark tennis shoes on his feet. She wanted to run to him so bad but she couldn't get past the crowd without forcefully shoving drunk people aside. As she slowly tried to maneuver through the crowd, she watched him take a photo with a heavily endowed brunette. She moved close to him and her friend was holding up the camera to take a photo of the two of them. He placed his arm around the female but what bothered Lia the most was that right when the photo was taken, the female moved her head to the side and kissed him right on the cheek. She saw red and all she could think of was punching the girl right in her face or her enlarged breasts. At this point, Lia was already shoving her way past people not caring if she was coming off rude or not and stopped right in front of the pair. Jonny's eyes automatically went to her and then widened. "Lia?" He moved from the brunette without a backwards glance and walked straight to her. He was getting ready to hug her and give her a kiss when she put her hand up to stop him. "What?" He asked her and she shook her head. "I'm trying not to punch you." He looked genuinely confused and then he laughed. "That?" He asked her and looked to his manager who shook his head at him and he grabbed her hand to lead her away from everyone. "Where are we going?" She asked him but didn't reject him leading her somewhere else. Jonny stopped and she realized that they were in a hallway away from everyone and he pushed her against the wall. He moved forward to kiss her and before she could let herself get into the moment and have that feeling where she couldn't stand, she pushed him away once again. "Dammit, don't do that. I'm serious here." She told him. "Are you jealous?" he asked mockingly and she knew that from his tone, he probably wasn't taking her serious. "I swear to you that I didn't know that she was planning on doing that. It meant nothing to me. I only have eyes for you." He didn't let go of her or pull away farther. Lia felt herself go hot from blushing. She was, but at the same time he wasn't at fault. His team was starting to become more known and he was bound to have a female fan base, which included hussies that wanted to bang the whole team if they could. So yes she was, but because Jonny was hers. "What are you doing here?" He asked her when she didn't answer him and it was obvious he held her hand. "Let's go." he told her and led her to his hotel room so that they could talk in peace. Where he was staying wasn't far and ten minutes later they were in his room. "You're wearing the jersey." he told her once he caught sight of it on her. She smiled at him. "I'm sorry I wasn't there for the full game." She told him feeling that if she made her decision any longer she wouldn't have this chance to tell him. "I love you too!" She blurted to him and Jonny froze where he stood. He gave her a look, "You don't have to say it to me." He told her as if he regained his senses. Lia went to stand in front of him. "You stubborn man, I am in love with you." She breathed the words out for him so that he could understand that she was not just saying it to him just because he had. He had a look that asked if she was sure but she put her hands on his face and pulled him down to her for a kiss. She gave everything that she had into the kiss and she felt his hands fly down to cup her ass before he lifted her up, wrapping her legs around his waist. "I love you." Lia told him and he smiled at her. "Well that only took ten years." He laughed moving them to the bed. "Well, all I can say is, I do."
