The First Time

“What do you think?” Katie Kimberley asked Natalee Johnson. “I won’t go. I hate parties and you know that and neither is Alyson.” Natalee replied. “Yeah. Absolutely.” Katie said flatly. “You done?” Natalee asked. Katie just finished her cup noodles. Natalee doesn’t like eating in the cafeteria at the departure, she likes to eat in the comfort of her house. But Katie isn’t like that. She is a complete foodie, so is Natalee. “Yep.” Both stood up. Katie discarded the cup and both head off to the exit. Best friends have some habits and secrets, right? So have Katie Kimberley, Alyson Taylor and Natalee Johnson. After school they go for a stroll to the Longing Bridge of Transylvania. In Transylvania, the Longing Bridge is very famous, one, for its scenic beauty, second, for its architectural beauty. They both climbed up the stairs. Katie leaned in the railing, while Natalee stood with her back on support of the bridge. Natalee scrolled on her phone, Katie took in the view. Natalee was about to ask Katie about the economics project they have to complete before Monday, when “Oh. My. God.” Katie said, each word which equal emphasis. Natalee shot a side glance at her, Katie’s eyes were still glued to the road, but they were like a blurry-vision, when you just watch something and you are not into it, your mind is working on something else. Katie faced Natalee, maintained an eye-contact with her for a minute or so, paced backwards and covered her mouth with her hands. Her eyes were shining. Natalee’s confused, she asked her, and one pierced eyebrow raised “Why are you acting strange? As if you just saw your crush who had disappeared long time ago?” Katie uncovered her mouth, narrowed her eyes and said “Its way better than that. And I don’t have crushes.” Her expression changed.  “This is off the point.” Katie said, “You won’t believe what I saw. Even I don’t. But I can’t keep this in my mind.” Katie took a deep breath and exhaled, “Okay, so I was standing here, right” Natalee nods, “You were on your phone.” Natalee nods again, “A black Ford Mercury came, and” Natalee again, again nods, and looks at her impatiently, “It just came and vanished.” Katie said very fast. Natalee widens her eyes, and smiles a little like do not fool me and I know you love pranks. Katie stomps on her feet, “I am not lying. Check the CCTV footage. The car just came,” she motions her left hand in a straight line, “and phew.” Her left hand comes closer to her right shoulder and she flies it away before it reached her shoulder-line. Natalee has a dilemma, definitely, but she is somehow convinced that Katie is saying truth. The way she is reporting this seems that it happened. “Okay. Let’s think for a minute, even if the car vanished, where would it have gone?” Natalee asked Katie. Katie thought for some seconds and answered, “In the fourth dimension, maybe.” “Fourth dimension isn’t possible, it isn’t real.” Natalee says. “Same happened in the Unfinished Race.” Katie retorted and made a cute pout. Katie loves phenomenal and mystery-type incidents. Like the train which gave red bright light during nights in a small village somewhere, or the story where a beautiful girl was burned by the people and after that she came to haunt and kill the children of that town. “That’s not real, Kate. It is a story written by a journalist, who went missing.” Natalee said. Katie was the one to bring the story of Unfinished Race into light. Later, they got that the man did not actually vanished after he fell from hitting the stone. It was all an article and a pseudo story. Katie’s features painted self-correction. “Oh, yeah. Whatever. ” She lets an exasperated sigh. “Aww, Katie-Stacey is sad. Listen. Let’s come her tomorrow again at the same time and see if this happens.” Natalee said. "Really?” Katie yells, her eyes again shone bright, “You mean, you trust me.” she said.“Yeah, I do. Can we pleaseee go now?” Natalee said, though she can tell there’s nothing like what Katie said had actually happened. Nothing like this can happen or it can. Let’s see.
