Dinner was out by the sea. I didn't change. I wore my linen shirt and cargo pants and sat at the far end of the table. Arthur walked in, surrounded by executives. He was in a formal suit, but he was skin and bones. His eyes cut right through the crowd and locked onto me. I ignored him and ate my salad. He spent the whole dinner flanked by execs and security. He couldn't get near me. His two hours were almost up. I left early and walked the gravel path back to my dorm. I pulled out my key card. Footsteps echoed behind me. Arthur stood a few yards away.
