A year later. Winter hit the city hard. The coldest in a decade. Behind the glittering downtown streets lay a filthy, trash-filled alley in the blinding snow. A homeless man in a ragged coat, hair matted like dead weeds, huddled by a dumpster. He scavenged for half a frozen burger. Arthur. The bankruptcy had buried him in astronomical debt.
