Ruby
Smiling I stood up after my brother reported in. I started to ready myself for the journey to land I cleaned up and changed into a more appropriate out fit for Heathen country. I was nervous to see Clive.. I knew it was nearly time to deliver this child ever since the storm was spotted she felt like the babe was trying its best to get out.. After I thanked my brother he had left to check over the men. Once I was alone again quit trying to hide the pain I knew the child would be on this earth within the night and knew it would be best to get on shore to see Clive before it started, I prayed the gods would let me deliver this child and all be well....
Within an hour I was standing before a Grey eyed stranger that looked oddly familiar. However at this time I could not think about why he was familiar all i cared about was seeing my brother in law. As Clive came to the entrance the Grey eyed one stepped aside. The moment I saw Clive, I immediately bowed my head, though I knew I had bested him and it should be the other way but as my elder , I wanted to show sign of respect that his beloved brother had passed. Gently the man took me in his arms and hugged me tightly. I spoke softly so only he could hear the words i had not dared this entire journey. As we separated he asked me to come in and we started to walk into the Chiefs cabin suddenly a sharp pain shot through my body. everything went dark i don't know when I went down. Before Clive could grab Ruby, Collin had her in his arms, looking at Clive they both knew she needed to see the healer and midwife. Which in no time Collin had the woman in the midwifes care.
That evening Alexandria Garnet was born, she was a beautiful strawberry blonde babe with Hazel eyes.It was not a hard labor, I remember very little the midwife did most of it as far as I know. It was late when the Chief came to visit after my brother and Clive left once my child was announced born and both of us were doing well and were healthy. Roland had seen Ruby and knew she was a very strong woman, he was amazed she had sailed so far along in her condition. Now that her child was born she looked much younger than she had been. Sitting down with me, Roland asked about my life and all that I knew, he was curious about the woman I was, His friend Collin then asked if he too could stay and listen as well. I granted the permission then went on to explain my story
I explained that I was just a young teen when I lost mother and then father, I only told a little of my relationship with Queen Esmerelda and how she made sure I was trained before her passing. I only told what was necessary and I then told of meeting Garet and how he had been the best heathen pirate I had ever met. I told of both of our adventures and how the he had changed all of our ways of thinking when it came to Heathens.I talked for a while by the time I had got to Garets death I hoped Roland and Collin felt like they knew Garet well, though both had only met him once many years ago. Sighing Roland thanked and congratulated me one more time on my new love. He also promised they would assist in getting our ship fixed and that I would always be welcome. Upon leaving I called to Collin and simply told him, "The lost has become found."
