“Even though Jack had hired me long ago, I was grueling to protect you, while trying to be a good friend. But it was you who are stressing to act smart,” he confessed while wearing a mischievous smirk.
Again, I got betrayed. I shouldn’t have trusted anyone.
However, I couldn’t puzzle out why was it getting difficult for me to accept the fact Steve betrayed me. I had known him closely since childhood. His loyalty and excellent performance were the reason for his current position.
