Ann worked endlessly on the pile of the files as if her life depended on it, " hand carol corporation file", she ordered without taking her eyes off the screen of the computer, after waiting with an outstretched hand without receiving it, she looked up only to notice that her friend was lost in thought, she walked over to her and tapped her, " what's up Veda?", she asked because her best friend she knew was never this lost, " uhm, nothing ", Veda said going back to her work to finish it up. Ann refused to give up as she held her waist like a mother, " are you keeping it away from me?, that's not fair. Spit it out girl", Ann pestered disappointedly. "OK it's that PA Stephen, I..I..I knew him but its in the past, we were good friends and went on dates with each other but when we entered a serious relationship, it didn't work out, he was always busy, forgetting me or our dates, the last date I went with him was a disaster, he came there with his work and completely forgot me and left,he refused to call until I heard he was in a relationship with a model named Cynthia, it broke me Ann, it did, I wouldn't be here alive, if it weren't for your intervention I'd have jumped over the beach", Veda said crying a lot, Ann felt sorry, her friend has been through a lot, being treated badly by her foster parents and now this. It was just too much to bear.

" I promised myself never to see him or let our paths cross despite his desperate attempt to get me after he broke up with his girlfriend now he's right here. He's the the heir to the Smith's corporations Ann, and I know now he won't spare me for refusing me urggh", she grunted.

" are you in love?", Ann asked with raised eyebrows, " hmm", Veda was taken aback with the question. " Veda, are you in love with Stephen?", Ann asked more clearly, " before but now, no", Veda said anxious about her racing heart. " ha, then font worry, it might just be that you are surprised to see him as your boss", Ann suggested as she patted Veda head that was lying on her laps, " yeah, you are right ", Veda admitted with a sigh and hugged Ann. " what would I do without you?", Veda asked, " nothing", Ann replied mischievously.

" its lunch time, do you wanna go downstairs to the cafeteria or I order your food up here?", Veda asked because their office was close to Calli office and he might force Ann to join him for lunch. " you go first and get us a seat, I will come down as soon as I finish reading this file".

As they ordered their food and sat down, two handsome men walked up to them, " hi girls, im ken and this is Ben ", ken, the taller guy introduced. Ann for a moment couldn't help gawking at his beauty, she and Veda usually s stare at male model bodies and giggle late at night, till Calli took that life away from them. She kept on checking him out from his bangs to his legs. " I'm Veda and that's my besti, Ann. My friend here allergic to guys, so if stares at you relish it", Veda teased as Ann blushed making the guys laugh. " can we join you for lunch? ", Ben, the chestnut haired guy asked, " no probs, you can mi Lord ", Veda said bowing, the guys joined them and Veda yapped about everything but nothing in particular, Ann wondered how she does that.

Ken sat beside Ann and Ben beside Veda, they chatted completely oblivious to the frowning men and how the workers scurried away to their seat, eating with caution. The hall was dead silent except for the yapping of the four oblivious souls.

Calli and Stephen had decided to come to the dining hall for lunch, to pester their women but some bunch of good looking dudes were already taking their place. Calli now saw ken as a threat because of his handsomeness but calli was more handsome with his ink jet hair, well sculpted face, sharp hazel eyes and well built body but ken was slim and had a feminine angelic face which further enhanced his beauty and his chocolate brown hair, not only Calli but Stephen was also feeling threatened, Veda always said she likes men with chestnut brown hair since hers was chestnut brown. Stephen had shiny black hair.

" so how about we unwind at the new club ," downtown hill this evening since there is no work Tomorrow", ken suggested.

" yes", Veda answered in delight much to Stephen's dislike. Calli was relieved that it wasn't Ann who answered not until he saw ken flirting with Ann, persuading her to come to the club and Ann blushed furiously, " okay", Ann agreed, laughing heartily to heartily to his flirty moves. Veda squealed taking a sip of her many fruit punch until her eyes rested on the vinegar tubs, she whispered to Ben who signalled ken, who in turn signalled to Ann but she wasn't looking as her whole focus was on her phone. Ann gave ken her phone, she whispered to ken asking him to choose a dress she could wear and winked at him, ken started sweating. From the look calli shot him, it shows that he was interested in Ann.

When ken chose the black dress, she pecked him and laughed but was pulled roughly by the shoulder and turned her around.

" your parents didn't teach you good manners of not talking while eating, you are a disgraceful and negligent employee, even throwing flirty moves at any man that comes your way, you are like those shameless women who seduce men and later declare they were molested", calli insulted her as Ann whipped her head facing him as she looked at him with disbelief, " yeah miss Ann, you are a w***e", calli thundered as all the workers stared at her in disgust and murmured amongst themselves especially the ladies. Ann bit her lips to control her anger as tear built up in her beautiful grey irises. Calli realized what he had said and loosened his hand from her shoulder even Stephen was shocked, calli scolded himself internally for what he said. A slap landed on his cheeks, " you scumbag, Ann is not a w***e you perverted soul, she us the sweetest girl you'll ever find, everyone listen to me, this dirt bag here was the one who was after her, do you know that Ann has never gone out on a date all because of what you did to her", Veda said angrily as she hugged Ann, who was staring at calli with hatred. Immediately the door of the dining hall swung open as the Williams strolled in, " mother", Ann ran towards her mother Stella Williams as calli stared in disbelief, he thought she was an average girl. All of the workers stood up as Toni Williams, the king of the business world, strolled towards calli. " Ann, hit him, no one stains the princess reputation ", he ordered, Ann smirked evilly as she punched and kicked him until he bled. They left and all the workers were in shock, they had talked against the great Williams daughter, they all slipped out one by one. " wait Ann, I'm sorry", calli said groaning. " I know ", she smiled climbing upstairs.

" jeez what a nightmare ", Ann said as she woke up, stared at the wall clock and realized that it was night. " haha, I thought it was real life, thank goodness it was a dream", she said as the loud knocking on the office door drew her attention, as she walked towards the door it came flying away, she fell on the floor because of the impact. " are you okay?", calli asked and rushed to her side. " did you have to break the door dumbo?", she pushed him away and massaged her ankles. " I was so worried, you said you'll come down for lunch but you never did and when I came in and knocked the door was locked and I forgot my key card in here, huh, thank goodness you're safe ", Veda babbled and hugged her. " yeah, I had a terrible headache, so I decided to lock the door and adjust my dress but I had a change of mind and rested instead, I was just having a strange nightmare, that's why I couldn't hear you ", Ann recollected. " wow you're a long sleeper, from 3 o' clock till 6 in the evening ", Calli teased as he earned a frown from Ann who noticed that both men were staring at her, " what?, I'm not hurt so you can go", she said.

" let me drive you guys home", Calli offered, Ann thought about it since there was no time to board a taxi, so she accepted. He draped his coat over her, " ehm, hey dude, I accepted the ride not your expensive coat", Ann said as she threw the coat towards him and grabbed her trench coat, locking the door behind her. Veda was dragged to the front by Stephen who kept pestering her, " where is my friend?", she asked him. " she went with Stephen first giving us some space ", he said smirking mischievously as Ann rolled her eyes. He held her wrist as she sighed boringly and walked faster, he remembered the first time he held wrist when they were walking through a busy street.

" did Mr Williams come here today?", she asked, " yeah", he replied happy that she did not reject him holding her hand, " why didn't you tell me he is your dad, you pretend to be poor and work here, are you his spy?", calli asked and Ann sighed, " when will you be wise, my dad wants nothing to do with your corporation since he's the king, I decided to leave home and start anew, its for personal reasons", Ann said. " so that makes you a Mafia? ", he said after deep thought, no wonder she had aura and intellect. They entered the elevator, " is there any of your male employees named ken and Ben? ", she asked, " yeah they are among the board of directors, so?", calli asked with squinted eyes as he pinned her to the wall of the elevator, " don't go after other men because that will be disastrous ", calli calmly said biting her ears.

When the elevator door opened appeared a flushed Ann and triumphant looking Calli, he had tortured her, doing things that made her body tingle, she immediately ran into the car.

" some guys invited us to the club and I accepted, I want to unwind, pls come along ", Veda asked, " she won't be going", calli answered coldly. " what's the time?" , Ann asked making Calli freeze, he knows she doesn't go to parties and doesn't drink alcohol, she is uncomfortable with guys, " is she trying to rile me up ?", he thought. Veda and Stephen watched as both if them glared at each other. "Erhm its 9 o' clock", Veda answered, " ok, we have four hours to get ready", Ann said boringly. " okay , I can style your hair", Ann offered.

" my woman won't style anyone's hair", Calli said bluntly. " let's make wavy curls and I have club dresses but our bags are in Calli recommended house " Veda said, " yeah, calli is it okay if we drop by to to get our stuff?", Ann asked. " oh now she wants to cone over because that Veda asked ", calli muttered jealously making the trio secretly smile, " yeah", he replied jealously. This wasn't how things were supposed to go.
