Niamh POV
I was still confused as I walked out of the study. Did he really approve just like that? Didn't he always want me to marry his old friend's grandson? Pero bahala na. Mas okay na rin to kahit papaano.
My phone rang.
Ethan.
"Where are you?" he asked.
"Just about to go to your place," I replied.
"Let me fetch you," he said.
"No need," I refused.
"No. Send me your address. Besides, I need to bring you to meet my grandparents," he insisted.
"Okay."
I hung up and sent him my address.
I decided to wait for him at the gate.
After a while, he arrived.
"Get in," he said, rolling down the window.
"Gamit ko?" I pointed at my luggage.
"Lagay mo sa likod," he casually said.
What a gentleman. Hindi man lang nag-offer ng help.
I placed my luggage at the back and sat in the passenger seat.
"Any script?" I asked him.
"None. Just say binugaw mo ako," he said casually.
"Seriously?" I asked in disbelief.
"Yes, why not? Everyone knows my reputation is solid. And do you think they'll believe that we had a thing before?" he said, arching his brows.
Now I know why he's looking for a wife. Grabe ang taas ng tingin sa sarili.
"So you're saying ni-r**e kita? Or I forced you? Is that it?" I said sarcastically. "With your build, ha?"
"Lusting over my body already?" he chuckled.
Damn. Anong klaseng humor 'to?
I glared at him.
He suddenly pulled the car over.
"Why not let you taste the goods first? How about that?" he teased.
I looked at him, shocked.
Before I could say anything, he pulled me closer and kissed me.
Aggressive.
Addictive.
Heat rushed all over my body.
I lost every bit of clarity.
I responded.
It was intense.
Breathtaking.
His hands traveled over my skin.
He cupped my breast.
And that's when it hit me.
I pushed him away.
"Seriously?!" I yelled angrily. "You want to f**k me right before I meet your elders?! What would they think when they smell you on me?!"
"Don't you like it?" he leaned closer, teasing.
Oh damn. Please help me. I don't want to kill my husband before I even meet my in-laws.
He licked my ear.
I shivered.
Nanginig talaga buong katawan ko.
"Pervert!" I pushed him again.
"Drive!" I shouted.
"Who am I gonna drive, wife?" he teased.
"The car, of course! What else?" I glared.
"Oh. I thought you wanted me to drive on you," he replied.
I pretended not to hear and faked sleep.
I felt the car start again, but I didn't open my eyes. I wouldn't dare.
Ethan's POV
I know she's just pretending to sleep, but I won't expose her. Besides, I didn't really intend to kiss her earlier. I just wanted to tease her. But her lips looked so tempting-I couldn't resist.
I know she doesn't remember me.
But I remember her.
And that's enough for me.
I still can't believe I finally married her.
I woke her when we arrived at our estate.
"Wife? Wake up, we're here."
She must have actually fallen asleep.
She opened her eyes and sat properly. Then she realized one of her blouse buttons was missing.
"Your button-natanggal ata kanina," I said, pointing slightly.
She immediately looked down and gasped. Shyly, she asked me to step out so she could change.
I agreed.
No matter how much I want to see her naked, I will never force her.
After a while, the car door opened. She stepped out wearing a simple plain white dress.
She was stunning.
I couldn't take my eyes off her.
"Let's go?" she said with a smile.
I pulled her closer, wrapping my arm around her waist.
She jolted and stiffened.
"Relax," I whispered.
She took a deep breath, looked at me, and nodded.
"Grandma, Grandpa, we're here," I greeted the two elders sitting on the sofa.
"Good day, Grandma, Grandpa po," she said shyly.
They quickly stood up to welcome us.
"Oh, our precious granddaughter-in-law. Come, have a seat," Grandma said, holding her hand and guiding her.
They quickly got along, chatting endlessly.
And when asked about our relationship. She really did say she trickes me into marriage. That was so obsessed with me and couldn't hold it anymore and pursue me
As we were about to leave, Grandma called out to her.
"If he ever mistreats you, come and tell me. I'll disown him, okay?" Grandma said.
She nodded "Okay"
.
"Take care, Grandma, Grandpa," she said before entering the car
.
"You two take care," they replied.
We drove home in silence. Kahit hulog ng karayom maririnig sa loob nang sasakyan.
I glanced at her.
But she pretended to be asleep again.
