Day 3 morning of new Investigation

I woke up and got out of bed. I started to get ready for work when I heard my phone buzzing. I went around looking for my phone. When I found my phone, there was a text message from a random number.

Curiosity kills the cat

I immediately called Andrew to tell him about the message.

“Morning beautiful”, Andrew answered.

“Andrew, I just got a message from a random number. I think it's a threat.”

“ What does it say?” he asked in a forced calm voice.

“ it says curiosity kills the cat”, I read to him

“I’ll be right over” he said.

“No, I'll just meet you at the station. I’m on my way out the door” I said.

“Are you sure?”he asked.

“Yes, I’m very sure I love you bye” I said and hung up,

On the way to the, I stopped to get some breakfast at Danny’s Doughnuts.When I was in line I noticed Brandon Sr. and Heather Benson getting out of their car, and coming inside. They stood right behind me in line. I thought I should say something to them while we waited in line.

Mr. and Mrs. Benson, How are you holding up?” I asked them.

“Detective Adam, How are you? How’s the case going?”

“I’m fine and we are doing everything we can to solve your daughter's case.”

“ Thank you so much” he said, hugging her.

“Why don’t you come to the station around lunch for an update, okay?”

“ No problem, we’ll be there.”

I ordered my food when I finished with Benson’s.

“If there is anything” he started before I stopped him,

“I will let you know” I said gently.

When I got to the station, I set everyone's breakfast on their desk.

“Hi, Are you okay?” Andrew asked me as I set his food down.

“I’m fine” I answered.” I walked towards him.I ran into the Benson’s today and told them that we would give them an update on the case,”I told him.

“Okay and I talked to Anthony”

“ What did you learn?” I asked while Andrew took a sip of coffee.

“Thanks, and there was blood on the necklace and there was blood in the car.”

“ Any more information about the car?”

“ It was stolen from a Geoffrey Hamatom 2 weeks before it was found

“Any blood matches that wasn’t Bree’s?”

“No”

“Any prints?”

“No”

“Let’s go talk to Anthony” I said.

“I just talked to Anthony.”

“ I want to see the necklace” she said, walking to the elevator. Andrew followed her, knowing what I wanted. I wanted to see if the necklace had a strong connection to Bree so that I could have a vision.

When we reached the 7th floor, I walked into Anthony’s lab.

“Anthony?” I called out.

“Yes” he answered.

“Can I see the necklace?” I asked.

“ Yes” he answered. He pointed to where the necklace was.”If you are going to touch it, wear gloves, do not contaminate my evidence.”

I rolled my eyes and put my gloves on and picked up the necklace.Andrew started to talk to me but I couldn’t hear him. I started to fade into a black cloud. I started to get cold as she faded into her vision.

Bree was sitting in the back of the car with a woman with black and blue hair. Bree was crying, and the woman was yelling at her to shut up. She grabbed Bree’s neck and slammed her head into the back of the seat. Then she ripped the necklace off, and threw it in the back of the car.

When I came back to reality, I felt a little dizzy. I set the necklace back down. Andrew and Anthony were staring at me. Andrew pulled me out of the lab.

“What did you see?” he asked, concerned.

“I saw a woman...she was yelling at Bree , ripping the necklace off.”

" How do you feel?"

"a little dizzy. This one is different. Usually I can see what happens, but it felt like I was in the car too."

"Talk to the director and for now try to force them away."

"I can only do that for a short period of time,"I said. Andrew shook his head.

“ We should head downstairs. Mikel should be finished with the reports on the visit to Leann and Maxwell”

“Was Sabrina in yet?”

“I saw her somewhere.”

“Okay” she said, getting into the elevator.

“ What about your threatening text?”

“ I was going to get Edward to check it out” she said. “Don’t worry, I just wanted to let you know.”

“Do you want me to go with you?”

“No, I got it.”

“Sabrina, Hey”, I said “Mikel, Did you finish the reports?”

“Yes I finished it” Mikel answered.

“Hey Chloe, Hey Andrew” Sabrina said.

“Sabrina Mikel,Can you take a look at all the previous suspects? ” Andrew asked.

“Okay, no problem”,Mikel said.

Andrew's phone rung, and I answered.

“Hello”

“ Is Andrew there?” the woman asked.

“Who is calling?” I asked.

“Mary Blanchard from Pineside elementary”

“Andrew” I called.” It’s Mary from Christian and Christiana school.”

“ Scott speaking” he said as he took his phone from me.

“Your children were involved in a fight at school today, and we would like to speak to you. Also, can you come pick them up?”

“ I will be right there”he said as he hung up.

He walked out of the office. I followed him.

“Is something wrong?” I asked him.

“They were fighting in school. They want to speak to me”

“Okay, do you want me to come with you?”

“No, I got it” he said.

“Okay” I said about going back inside. Andrew looked at me before saying”wait yeah, come with me”.

“Are you sure?” I asked.

“Yes”.He said I got in the car with him.

“We can visit Benson’s after I drop them off at Annabelle’s.”

" Actually they were coming to the office but I'll just call them and change the plans.

" Okay," he said as I dialed their number. Andrew was silent while I was on the phone. They didn't answer, so I just left a quick message.

“Did you tell Annabelle?” I asked.

“Tell Annabell what?”I gave him a look.

“I didn’t tell her...not yet...I will” he told me, fidgeting.

“It’s okay you didn’t tell her”, I told him.

“I will tell her” he said as he kissed my hand.

Andrew and I were going to move in together soon.He thought it would be more respectful to talk to Annabelle about it before springing it on her.

When they got to school, Andrew parked the car and hurried to the front door. I had to speed walk to catch up.

“Stay calm”, I told him.

When we got to the front door, Andrew pushed the buzzer. Almost immediately, the door buzzed again. Andrew let me in. First I waited for him to come in.

Andrew:

I led us to the main office. We saw Christian and Christiana sitting outside the office.

“ Are you guys okay?” I asked, worried.

“Yes,dad” Christian said.

“We're fine” Christiana answered.

“ Well, I’m going to talk to the principal and then I will drop you off at your grandma's house.”

“Okay” they said.

“I’ll wait here” Chloe told me.

I went into the office.The principal was talking to the secretary. I waited for them to finish talking.It took about five minutes for them to finish their conversation.

"Mr.Scott, How are you today?"

"It was going great before I heard about a fight."

" Yes, well about that. From what I heard from their teacher and other teachers on the playground. Christiana was talking to a molly and they started to fight when Christian ran up and joined the fight when he found out his sister was involved."

"What was the fight about?" I asked .

"it was about a girl scout mother and daughter sleepover.Molly said that Christiana couldn't go because she didn't have a mother.Christiana started to cry and say that she did have a mother and then started to hit Molly, unfortunately, since Christiana hit her first hit she is suspected for 3 days and so is Christian."

"What will happen to Molly?"

"We don't agree with bullying, so she will be in school detention."

" Is there anything else" I asked.

" No, that is it. You will have to bring them back to school on Monday after their suspension."the principal said, handing me papers to sign.

" Okay then" I said, frustrated.

As I was leaving the office, I saw Chloe talking with the twins. I paused and let her finish talking to them.

Chloe:

“Okay” I said as I sat down next to Christian.

Right before I could speak with Christian, my phone buzzed.I tried to ignore it but it buzzed two more times. I pulled out my phone and there were two new messages. This message contained pictures of the inside of my house. I put her phone back in her pocket and I was starting to worry about the messages and the fact that they were inside my house. I looked at the twins while trying to hide my worry.

“ What are you going to be for Halloween?” I asked them.

“ I want to be an astronaut pirate”, Christian said excitedly.

“I want to be a fairy princess” Christina said.

They both went into a long explanation about their costumes and how they wanted to look.They also described what type of jobs their character would do. 20 minutes later, I stood and stretched out. Andrew was still in the office. I wondered how much trouble these two little kids could cause.

Just then, Andrew walked out of the office. He looked at the twins and said “Let’s go”. They got up and slowly walked up to the front door of the school. I followed after the twins. When they got in the car, Andrew told them what they had done wrong. The longer he talked, the louder his voice got. I rubbed his arm trying to calm him down. He slowly calmed down
