day 3 night of new Investigation

When Chloe got home she checked her messages there was no new messages from the blocked number. She also remember that she didn’t tell Edward about it. She knew that if she told her godfather he would freak out. She slowly walked towards her house. She had a strange feeling. The door looked like it was kicked in. Tiger was on the front porch. The window was broken. Chloe pulled out her phone and called the police.

“This is 911 emergency how can I assist you today?”

“This is Special Agent Chloe Adam there was a break in at my place”

“ Is the person or people who broke in still there?”

“ I don’t know I haven’t gone in yet”

“Do not enter the residence“

Chloe ignored the operated and went inside her house. She pulled out her gun. She didn’t see anything or anyone inside her living room. She went deeper inside her house. In the kitchen dishes, chairs, and the table was broken. The chair were thrown acrossed the floor. The wood from the chair was all over the place. Glass was all over the counter and the floor. On the message is written in what looked like blood.

She was shocked, she began to shake a little. She started to slowly come to again. She walked to the front door for the police to arrive, A few moments later a police car pulled up.

“Are you the one who called ms.

“Yes, I called someone broke into my place and”

“It’s okay miss we’ll check it out our self ” he interrupted her

She stepped out of the way. Her phone started to ring.She looked at the number but didn't recognize it

. She answered anyway.

“If you want more information on the case your working meet me at the Stop N Shop on 2423 Mannington Avenue,” A female voice said hanging up immediately.

"Ma'am" a different officer said

"Yes"

“ We finished the walk thru and only the downstairs was damaged. We don’t think that the intruder made it up the stairs.”

“Okay, Thank you”

“ You might want to check into a hotel or something.”

“Ok”

Chloe thought about calling Andrew but she changed her mind. She looked up Motels on her phone. She found one The Bell, but it didn’t allow pets.

“Awwww Tiger,” she said

“ Ma’am what's wrong?”

“Nothing important I found a motel and they don’t allow pets.” she said” Are you guys finished?” she asked

“Almost did you see if anything was missing?”

“No, Not that I saw, I just need to pack a bag”

“I’ll have an officer assist you. “ he said as he walked her back into the house

“ Thank you”

The man partner came over “ Lead the way” he said

She leads him up the stairs into the first bedroom. She went straight into her closet and pulled out her suitcase. She pulled some clothing off the hanger and out of her drawers. With the officer following her she went inside the bathroom and got her personal items. She grabbed the cat carrier out from under the bed. She quickly looked around for Tiger.

“I’m finished,” She told him as she walked out of her bedroom.

When she got to the bottom of the stairs she looked all over for her cat.She didn’t find him. So she went outside. She looked outside. She heard his meows. She followed them to a tree in her neighbor yard.

“ Tiger come down” she said to the cat

She pulled some cat food out of her bag and shook the box .

Tiger continued to meow as he made his way down the tree.

Chloe picked him up and hugged him.

“We have to find a place for you to stay.”

Chloe put him in the cat carrier. Then went back to the porch to grab her suitcase

“ Do you need help?” asked the officer

“ a little,” she said He took her suitcase out of her hand.” Thank you so much, officer…”

“I’m sorry Officer Mitchell,” he said

“Officer Mitchell,” she said

She unlocked her car door. Officer Mitchell placed her suitcase in the back seat. While Chloe was making sure that Tiger was safely inside of the front seat.

“There,”she said

“ Again thank you so much”

“You’re welcome, stay safe”

“ You will have to make a statement”

“Okay it’ll have to wait until tomorrow”

“Sure no problem”

Chloe went back to the front and locked it. She made her way back to the car and pulled off.She pulled off in the instead of driving to the motel she drove to work. She wanted to know who was making threats against her, and who called her phone. She memorized the address that was given to her. The person who threatened her lit a fire inside on her. Now, she really wanted to know who was involved in this.

When she got to the office Director Jefferson was waiting for her.

“What is this hear about a break-in at your place?”

“It’s nothing” she lied to him

“Nothing really?” he asked her

“How did you know I would come here?” she questioned him as she walked to her desk with Tiger in his cat carrier

“I know you and when something happens in your life you threw yourself into work.” he told her following after her. “ Does this have to do with the Bree Benson case your working on or is this a random attack?” he asked her him

“ I don’t know” she answered

“Chloe Robin Adams don’t you dare lie to me”

“I’m not” she said getting frustrated

She knew that when he used her middle name she wasn’t just one of his workers. She was his goddaughter. She knew that in that tone she was in trouble. She had known the director since she was a little girl.He was her dad best friend but he was also her second father.

She ignored him while grabbing the files from inside of her desk. He looked at her a few moments before telling her “ Don’t do anything stupid?”

“ I won’t,” she told him

“ Anything else I should know”

“I’ve been getting threats too”

“ What, Did you tell Edward?”

“No, not yet but I will in the morning when he is in again.”“Good” he said walking away from her.Chloe released the breathe she didn’t realize holding.

Jefferson:

I had to walk away from her before I started yelling at her

Chloe is one of my best detective but she was also the most careless about her safety when it came to being in the field. That is why I partnered her with Andrew because he would care about her safety in and outside of the job. When I got to my desk I left a voicemail to Edward to hear when he came in the morning. I also called Andrew and left a voicemail to let him be know what was going on because I know she wouldn't tell him if it could be avoided. After I started looking at some of the email I had. A detective from a different state wanted to come here to help with a current case that they believe is connected to a case they are working for. I immediately replied we would be happy to have them.
